Over the past 20 years Chelsea has organized a business in a way whereby Players around their 30s are hardly offered more than a year contract. 2 at the very best. No matter who that player is and if he doesn't accept he's free to leave. Kante is amongst our top 2 highest earners im the club. Kante has been battling injuries for over 3 seasons now. The club offering a three years contract is very much fair to Kante whose absence due to injuries are even increasing... If he does well the contract can always be extended just like Tsilva who joined the club under a short contract which got extended
Kante has been out since August after about 2 matches and currently might be out throughout Oct too. Yes he's best at what he does but he's over 30s now. His body can't keep up with those workloads hence the injuries

Too early for this. By the time, some key players get injured, that's when the real test will start.

This isn't the first time Arsenal is starting the league well until they're hit by injuries and their performance drops.

If they play well till January/February (not necessarily winning all games), they can win the league.

No matter who that player is. It's always been a year contract. If he does well then it's extended if he doesn't he leaves.
