However, I don't think the lady deliberately ignored the question because it's not even difficult to answer. She could have simply said, "Well, that's what the Economist columnists think, but the Nigerian voters will have the final say."

Yes I know that agreeing to feature in an interview leaves you open to any kind of question. My point is that as a professional journalist, you use such opportunity to hit the guests with hard pressing questions that can elicit deep intellectual discourse and in the process, unearth either the intellectual depth or shallowness of a party and her candidate and not asking questions about what a poll says. My opinion
