I will say this here,I prefer living in ikeja to living in most places on the island(lekki and the likes). Island just has all the hype but there isn’t anything you would get there that isn’t on ikeja.

I think they mean human resource development. That's why the south is far more developed than the north. An average northern will have more than 6 children, some even go as much as 15 without having the means to Train them.

Ikeja gra is to me the best part of Lagos. It is clean, relatively cheap compared to lekki and other parts of the island, and it's not prone to flooding. It always reminds me of Onireke, Ibadan, my neck of the woods.

Kenya has a deal with middle East countries to send maids there. It's called Kafala.

How would such a ban be effected by gov? I dont think it's all gloom and doom; what gov need are to open offices in middle east to assist their citizens in distress including rescue centers;

Saudi has climbed to be Kenya 3rd source of forex. We cannot condemn it all - the problem is with live in maids - but drivers, operators and others have no problem.

Kefala is middle east/mulsim labour system. Nigeria who go to work in middle east - are in the same arrangment.

Recently, through the intervention of the Nigerian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, 1,000 housemaids were deported to Nigeria.

These housemaids are airlifted to Saudi Arabia by private employment agencies licensed by the Federal Ministry of Labour.

Information obtained from the ministry through the Freedom of Information Law indicated that two agencies were fully accredited to recruit Nigerians as domestic staff in Saudi Arabia. It, however, said a total of 22 of such agencies were licensed.

We told them this would happen. Misplaced priorities. What Kenya needs is to put more money into tourism and manufacturing. It's Leprechaun economy keeps growing artificially despite unemployment. It needs more manufacturing jobs even if it's just to replace some of the things it imports and then begin to export more. That sgr was not needed at the time they borrowed to build it. Now they're defaulting.
