During my connection from SA to Heathrow, I encountered too many query at the Airport due to the UK Visa sticker on my passport, it was pasted upside down. Each transit before boarding, na so them go dey look the visa like say na Oluwale.. God pass them sha cos na only me know say na legit.
But each encounter, when they notice that I'm a resident of Mauritius, they just calm down and wave ahead for me to pass.
Then finally at Heathrow Airport, the immigration didn't look it twice and stamped me in.

Hello bro, please got an important question. Judging by your thread, it seems the hospitality courses is the sure way to get into the US on a J1 visa. I want to know if that's accurate. Always wanted to study in a country with that possibility. It's wonderful to be able to work in the US every summer.

In my honest opinion, Mauritius is a place to be and a place to start life in, there are lots of jobs here mostly jobs in hospitality and you stand a chance to be earning from 150k to 200k or even more as a student.

It's better than paying $20k-$30k per year in North American schools and the equivalent in Europe too.
MDX is a prestigious institution in the UK so I think it's best if I attend their Mauritius campus. Paying less to get more.
Total cost for the whole program duration is under 10m naira, show me a prestigious school in Europe and North America that can beat that and I might change my mind.

Surely, you must have a valid reason for being so keen on studying at a “prestigious” university. I’ll respect that!

Might I leave a word of advice here?

Outside your home country, especially in Europe, the job market for white collar does not necessarily favour Nigerians who attended prestigious schools.

Bro, trying to go to Europe is what's still kept me in this country. Wasted a lot of money already. I'm looking for a transit country now. Maybe study a few years in the country while visiting developed countries, after the degree, I can then move to the country.

Generally their procedures are the same with UK. Most schools don't charge for application fees.
Get your application documents ready and narrow down your search. Send inquiry emails to schools and wait for their response.
The cheapest courses are the hospitality and business management courses.
If your documents pass the evaluation process, they will invite you to apply to the program.
You pay your part tuition, send your documents hard copy to Mauritius and they apply for your visa from Mauritius once they receive your documents. When your visa is out, you pay up and japaa...
At the Airport you will be required to show proof of everything from application down to payment....
