About 6 local government areas in Bayelsa state is currently submerged in water due to the flood water released from various dams in cameroun.

Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA

Yenagoa LGA

Southern Ijaw LGA

Sagbama LGA

Ogbia LGA

Ekeremor LGA

All these LGA's are currently submerged and I can tell you that about 75% of Bayelsa state is currently submerged in water.

Personally, I've lost my fish farm/pond to the flood and I am currently displaced.

I spoke with my friend today who lives in Yenagoa. I was dumbfounded when he told me about the flood ravaging Bayelsa. I informed him that the rest of Nigeria seems unaware about what is happening in Bayelsa, unlike Anambra and kogi that's in the spotlight. Thiefnubuu urchins blammed Peter Obi when the flood reached Anambra forgetting that it came from kogi to Anambra and heading south. It has now reached Rivers and Bayelsa. I don't know how Peter Obi could have prevented the Niger from rising when a dam is opened in Cameroon
