At long last, commissioning of this megaproject is now in view...

This refinery will single-handedly reduce Nigeria’s fuel/commodity imports by about 40%, and create a minimum of 145,000 jobs, with attendant positive socio-economic benefits.

We thank God that it is coming on stream at last.

We thank God that it is coming on stream at last.

Another world-class project about to be commissioned in Lagos... that state is leaving the rest of the country further and further behind.

Other states need to wake up and do whatever it takes to attract such projects... tax breaks, independent power plants, free trade zones, land allotment, infrastructural incentives, etc.

Nigeria seriously needs more of these!

How did you apply for the job?

Bit by bit, step by step, Nigeria will get better.

It is a cause for rejoicing that this type of project has come to reality in this country.

No matter your perspective, the refinery will employ many thousands of Nigerians directly, and millions indirectly; it will have a multiplier effect in the economy, and will add infrastructural value to its environs.

Kudos to everyone that helped bring it to fruition.

Does anyone here know what the road condition / traffic situation is like around that axis?

There might be a good business opportunity over there for transporters.

Considering the usual heavy traffic in the Lekki axis, the launch of operational activities by the Dangote refinery will very likely result in further serious traffic congestion.

However, that is not to deny the multifarious business opportunities the refinery will open up in that area.
