I see videos in Hindi explaining how to get jobs in Nigeria to Indians.

Hundreds and thousands more Indians are preparing to move to Lagos and this bothers me.
It's not because I'm racist or hate multi ethnic society no.
It's cuz it's really early in out success story, its the period where people make generational wealth and those people moving here now would put them on equal playing ground with the black people that have lived here during the hard times.
And when Nigeria does get better it would look like Kenya and south Africa where white people and Indians own most of the riches.

I'll rather they come later in search of greener pasture.

It would be stupid of Dangote to give jobs that Nigerians can do to Indians when Nigeria has a lot of local content in the upstream and downstream sectors of the economy. But I don't know if Indians have a stake in the refinery.

Those TIVET of yours are somehow different with ours. You have all those teachers colleges listed under TIVET,but in Tz,Vocational colleges,which are VETA are mostly technical. Teacher's colleges are not under VETS. So your numbers are not that high if u could have separated teachers colleges.

so I checked.https://www.kuccps.net - The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) - all students now go through here - to apply for universities, tvet and teachers college except the nurses/diploma medical colleges which operate under KMTC -

As of now - out of roughly 700k student of 2020 - about 270K were admitted under KUCCPS - with 130k for universities and about slighlty number for vocational college. KMTC has total student population of about 60K in 70 colleges/campus- I think annual enrollment is now close to 20-30k.

The figures exclude those who go for private colleges and universities.

Roughly our enrollment is 50% - of capacity in vocational colleges - 300K available vocational slots - and total number of kids who qualify is 500k.

So we have a long way to go to get to 100% transition but I believe gov will get there.

All vocational students qualify for gov funding and student loans like universities.One big problem is perception that TVET or vocational training is for failures - that has to change - maybe we need to attach them to universities so people can say they are going for university even if studying for diplomas.

Ruto is passionate about TVET and I expect we shall see enrollment soon moving close to 100 percent transition from high school to vocational training - this is perquisite to industrialization - as we need an army of trained artisans and technicians - not just unemployed untrained labour.

European economies are so complex. I'm not sure the Europeans understand it fully themselves. And look at Russia with all that output and technology, it's GDP is still nothing to write home about compared to the GDP of countries like UK and Italy. How can Italy's GDP be higher than Russia's?

Russia have truly underperformed. The reason they are not totally wasted is their landmass/ resources. Also the fact that they were once Soviet Union.

Actually Italy's GDP is lower than Russia's from what I see.

I think the electric car way is the way to go in the nearest future. With$29000 or about $10m you can get a new one.

And charge with as low as 320 naira, less than the cost of 2 litres of petrol.

You mean from the live GDP?

Russia is third world country with oil and natural gas. A Nigeria. Developed countries like Italy do a lot of value addition - which is more economically rewarding. Europe/North America import gas and oil from Russia - and use it to manufacture stuff - that they sell it world for a premium. Next is definitely South Asians - Japan, South Korea, and China.

Ethiopia follows at 108 - then Ghana 76 - with TZ at 75B - then DRC at 65B.
Look likely TZ will overtake Ghana this year - with collapse of cedis- they will slide even further.

I missed Angola. Right they were at 140B before the collapse of the Kwacha. This year I expect Ghana and Ethiopia will take a hit - not sure of Nigeria - if they will eventually devalue - but their black market rate say they should - Nigeria GDP could half

What you should know is that the Nigerian central bank is injecting a lot from her external reserves to maintain that very wide gap between the black market and official rate and the reserve have been going down because of that, now 37 Billion dollars. So it's almost thesame thing.

You cannot stop diarhoea by blocking the anus. Eventually Naira has to be devalued. Youre running out of dollars to pay debt - leave alone defend Naira. One will soon give way.

according to real economic assessment, the Russian economy is on par with that of Germany, buoyant and productive and that is the reason why sanctions hasn't affected it as much as those who planned it thought it would.
