2023: Don't Vote For Anybody Who Tells You It's Going To Be Easy - Sanusi Lamido (Video)

Former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has advised Nigerians not to vote for any politician who says things are going to be easy in Nigeria, IGBERETV reports.

According to the former Central Bank Governor, the person that will become Nigeria's president in 2023 will have to take painful decisions to be able to address the various challenges facing the country.

Sanusi stated this today while speaking to Nigerians in Kaduna at KadInvest, an annual event organised by the Kaduna State Investment Promotion Agency.

In his words;

"Anybody who tells you that it's going to be easy, please don't vote for him. It is either that he is lying to you or that he does not know what job he is going to get.

You cannot with this level of debt service, with this level of collapse in revevue, with this level of poverty. And you have to take curative decisions."

Speaking on the need to stop the inflation of figures going on in government, Sanusi said that whoever will become Nigeria's president in 2023 should ask the NNPC to document and bring evidence of every dollar they took as subsidy.

Bola Tinubu, Nasir El-Rufai and other eminent Nigerians attended the event.

Those who are shouting. if we want better future for ourselves and our kids we should vote obi , the people who voted him as governor then nko? are they swimming in millions right now ? He's referring to Tinubu and Atiku. President Obi has never said the job will be easy. In fact he has been accused of being a pessimistic naysayer. Tinubu and Atiku paint everything in pink and orange. One says he will easily unify 200 warring tribes and the other refers everyone to the ivory tower, lagos never was.

In all his interviews, PO has said things won't turn around overnight, but Nigerians will see and feel the efforts being made to turn things around. He never said it was an easy task.

Who would think that a so-called educationally sophisticated region would prefer a kinsman who's the face of corruption in the country and with questionable academic qualification over a brilliant, civil, eloquent, descent kinsman, with the highest level of education, to preside over not just its region but the whole country ? It's synonymous to having a community entrusting Buhari to deliver to them a good lecture on Macroeconomics ahead of Okonjo-Iweala or Sanusi Lamido.
