Central bank of G20 host rails against US dollar – media
The regulator wants to reduce reliance of the Indonesian financial markets on the greenback
Indonesia’s central bank has spoken out against the use of the US dollar in export-import transactions, and called for a switch to local currencies in international payments to reduce dependence on the greenback, news portal Tempo.co reported on Friday.
Strong US dollar is a headache – IMF

The US currency's surge is making other nations' fight against soaring inflation even harder, the global financial body suggests

As countries around the world struggle to bring down soaring inflation, the weakening of their currencies relative to the US dollar has made that fight even harder, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said.

“As world interest rates rise, financial conditions have tightened considerably for many countries. A stronger dollar only compounds these pressures, especially for some emerging market and many low-income countries that are already at a high risk of debt distress,” the IMF said.

We can't blame Buhari for inflation in Nigeria.
De-dollarization is neccessary and in progress.

Joe biden will surely loose re-election with this Ukraine war.
Europe is in recession already and winter is about to make it a worse experience with the cost of gas rising almost daily.
As strange as this may sound, I think trump is the best Potus we've seen in recent times.
If the right step is not taken to curb the impending hardship knocking on America, I see a civil war breaking out soon.
Someone call Biden to order before it's too late.

Earlier, Putin said grain deal may be BLOCKED if it turned out ships using corridor had transported EXPLOSIVES used in TERROR ATTACK on Crimean Bridge.

How long can the West support Ukraine for?
They couldn't support the Afghan puppets that they imposed on the Afghan people.
They couldn't keep fighting for 20 years in Afghanistan so how long can they keep fighting in Ukraine?
Afghan Talibans drained the West and eventually prevailed upon the West.
How much damage do you think a country like Russia (with the enormous resources at it's disposal) will inflict on the West? (1000x the damage inflicted on the West by the Taliban)

The Taliban* took power in Afghanistan in August, 2021, triggering the collapse of the US-backed government and accelerating the American troop pullout. On August 31, 2021, US forces completed their withdrawal from the South Asian country, ending their 20-year-long military presence there. * the group under UN sanctions for terrorist activity
What happens when there's a change in political leadership in the US and common sense prevails?
The West are played themselves.
Russia to go through with Ukraine operation despite NATO’s involvement - Kremlin

Russia capable of continuing military operation despite NATO’s support for Kiev, Dmitry Peskov told journalists.

NATO has in fact got involved in the conflict in Ukraine but it is in no way affecting Russia’s goals, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Rossiya-1 on Sunday.

"In fact, NATO has got involved in the Ukrainian conflict. However, it is in no way affecting our goals. That said, the operation will continue and we will go through with it," he said in an interview with the "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" TV program, part of which was posted on Telegram.

NATO’s assistance to Ukraine complicates the situation but Russia is still capable of continuing its special military operation, Kremlin Spokesman told journalists.

"Apparently, it is making us mobilize our economic and other forces. The Kiev regime is one thing but NATO’s potential is another thing. It means an additional burden. However, our potential makes us capable of continuing the operation in this situation," Peskov said in an interview with the "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" TV program, part of which was posted on Telegram.

Wrong narrative entirely. Russia has underestimated and treated the Ukrainian offensive right from the start. They should have gone shock and awe right from the start.
But recently they went shock and awe with the appointment of Sergei the rudelesr guy and nothing happened. Why did Russia stop its brutal offensive?

Mauritius Wants to Develop Cooperation With Russia – Ambassador
Mauritius intends to actively develop cooperation with Russia, the ambassador of the republic to Russia, Jankee Kheswar, said on Sunday.
Russia is a big and influential country, and we want to actively cooperate with it," the diplomat said.

According to the ambassador, relations with Russia are also significant because Moscow was one of the first to conclude diplomatic relations with Mauritius.

He also highlighted that Mauritius is welcoming a growing number of Russian tourists as several Western countries have restricted air travel with Russia.
Kheswar added that Port Louis is trying to forge a strategy that would allow to welcome even more tourists from Russia and give them an opportunity to pay with Mir cards.

Re: Gov. by Nobody: 1:40pm On Oct 16, 2022
That's not shock and awe. That was random response with think aim of deterence. Unfortunately you cannot deter if your enemy believes you don't have the capacity to destroy them and they have the capacity to cause you pain. This only leads to a situation wheby you cause them pain, they cause you pain in return and things gradually escalate until it results in massive destruction. You must hit them so hard at first that they will be too shocked to mobilize. That's the NATO doctrine. However, I understand that the real war is not even going on in Ukraine. Look at the erosion of American influence and the ongoing attrition of European economy. No military force can achieve that. Putin may have a smarter endgame than the west thinks.

16 explosions reported in Belgorod, Russia.

Russian state news agency RIA Novosti said that 16 explosions were heard in Belgorod, a city about 50 km away from the Ukrainian border. V.Gladkov, governor of Belgorod Oblast, said that 2 people were injured by the attack.

Re: Gov. by VictorUSA(m): 1:51pm On Oct 16, 2022
You really think that Russia is playing attrition game? The fact that Putin had to appoint Sergei to come to Ukraine tells you that the guy is making every frantic and visible effort to reverse the setbacks in Ukraine and the notion the notion that he might be witholding to unleash his agression on US/NATO is just not factual.

Which civil urenst? you're probably talking about the one in Irancheesygrin

Lissen, Russia alone cannot make only the US exaust its military and economic capability not to talk of the entire west.

Protesters Rally in Kishinev Against Government Policies.
Rallies against the government in Moldova have been going on for more than a month, with protesters demanding the resignation of President Maia Sandu and calling for early elections.
Protesters are outraged by the unprecedented rise in prices for food gas and other energy resources - as well as by high inflation and a plunge in living standards - and they accuse the authorities of being unable to cope with current issues.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu noted that citizens have the right to protest, but she called the organizers of the action "criminals who are trying to destabilize the situation in the country". Sandu also reproached the judges for delaying the case against former chairman of the Moldovan Savings Bank, Ilan Sor.

Buying or supplying is immaterial since you mentioned proxy. In a proxy there's no direct confrontation between the two opposing powers so there's no justification for building up nuclear.

The energy crisis in the region was dramatically exacerbated in early July after the first disruptions of Russian gas supplies to a number of EU countries.
