Among the communities that were devastated by flooding in Anambra State is Umuoba Anam. This community is in Anambra East local government area of the state. Houses were completely swallowed by the flooding. The scene was shocking and traumatic.

This flooding did lots of damage.

People displaced

Crops harvested in a hurry or totally lost.

Famine may be one of the prices of this flooding.

I hope our emergency agencies are working.

Shame on FG, why didn't they construct their dam since the 80s?

Also, it is very possible that camerounian authorities gave Nigeria a heads up before opening their dam but like always they failed to be proactive.

I feel for the man that covered his face in disdain... There's still more woes to come sadly... After the flood, after the reptilian invasions and after the scarcity of food; there's going to be cases of collapsing of buildings.
And homelessness. Structures like those in Nigeria aren't built with integrity enough to tolerate full submersion in water... For days. Only the foundations are prepared for that.

Where is that man fighting them then? Has he seen the huge destruction flooding can cause others when his house blocks the waterways during flooding?
