Nigeria LNG Ltd. declared force majeure on shipments from its Bonny Island liquefied natural gas facility after supplies were cut off by flooding.

“The notice by the gas suppliers was a result of high flood water levels in their operational areas, leading to a shut-in of gas production which has caused significant disruption of gas supply to NLNG,” company spokesman Andy Odeh said by email Monday.

The announcement comes as NLNG, which can produce 22 million tons of LNG a year, was already operating at reduced capacity due to difficulties securing adequate feedstock.

These are scary. Those business organisations one would assume are failproof because they have survived trans generational changes and markets are closing too easily. This is what tax cutter Truss of Britain doesn't get. The big players you are hoping to keep in production and indirectly employing hands with juicy tax waivers are rich and can afford not to work for the next 10 - 50 years. What then happens to their priceless business structures that cannot be easily recreated to employ vast hands?

Russian blackmail is so real.

"Currently, the Integrated Group of Forces in Ukraine is taking measures to build up the combat and numerical strength of military units and formations, create additional reserves, equip defensive frontiers and positions along the line of engagement. Precision weapons continue delivering strikes against military and infrastructural facilities vital for the fighting efficiency of Ukrainian troops," the commander said.
