A desperate plea: In a late-night address posted on Telegram, Russian-installed Kherson official Kirill Stremousov calls for people to "evacuate the city as quickly as possible" and says Ukraine "will begin an offensive on the city of Kherson very soon"

The Saudi-South Africa talks came amid a row between Riyadh and Washington over OPEC’s decision to cut production quotas by 2 million barrels a day. US President Joe Biden last week threatened Saudi Arabia with unspecified “consequences” and accused the longtime ally of siding with Russia in the Ukraine crisis. US lawmakers have called for cutting off cooperation with Saudi Arabia, such as halting arms sales or withdrawing military support.
Saudi Prince Saud al-Shaalan responded angrily on Saturday, warning Western leaders not to threaten the kingdom. “Anybody that challenges the existence of this country and this kingdom, all of us, we are projects of jihad, and martyrdom. That’s my message to anybody that thinks that he can threaten us.” Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman said Saudi leaders were “astonished” by false US accusations that Riyadh is standing with Russia against Ukraine.

Russia, China and other BRICS members are reportedly developing a new global reserve currency, potentially undermining the dominance of the US dollar. The addition of Saudi Arabia to the bloc would have potentially far-reaching implications, given that the dollar’s strength stems partly from its status as the dominant currency in international oil markets. Saudi Arabia has reportedly considered selling crude in Chinese yuan.

Do you think another reserve currency competing with dollar would benefit Nigeria and Africa at large? Pause and think?

That was how Japan attacked usa Pacific fleet and island killing over 2000 personnel and civilians unprovoked. In the end usa came out victorious in the Pacific war and went on to bomb Nagasaki and others. This is going to be Ukraine's victory in the end no matter the bombs, and Kiev will deliver a bomb to Moscow one-day

You are not producing anything. Service sector- nothing. Manufactured goods-nothing. Natural resources- nothing special. There are other reserve currencies in the world. Countries choose what it is best for them.

The main political parties of Finland jointly agreed today to build a border fence with Russia.

Based on a risk analysis by border officials, the fence would cover areas that have been identified as potential risks for large-scale migration from Russia.

I've got a question. The US has long range AWACS operating outside Ukraine airspace. They are able to pick Russia movements, airborne crafts, missile launches.
Are they passing that data to Ukraine ground troops . If they are then NATO is fighting Russia, the awacs component is a very strong force multiplier

Some EU countries, when discussing new sanctions against the Russian Federation due to the situation around Ukraine, do not agree to restrictions in industries that are beneficial to them. Belgium, when agreeing on new restrictions, protects the introduction of restrictions against Russian diamonds. Greece is trying to defend the right to transport Russian oil, while France and some other EU countries continue to import Russian nuclear fuel.

As much as I hate this war, I really wish Ukraine can somehow take back Kherson main city. It will not only spite the Russians but force it to take off the kids gloves and end this war quickly. If a small attack on Crimea can force them to up the ante against Ukrainian Infrastructure, I wonder what losing the newly annexed Kherson city and it's entire area would do to its prestige and reaction. Its funny that something big have to happen all the time for Russia to react more aggressively. I simply do not understand this mindset.

Stop crying wolf Russia is not targeting any civilian. Any death in this case is 'collateral damage's, a term invented by the west. The low number of civilian casualty in the current Russian bombing indicates that Russia is targeting mainly military installations and infatsructure which will reduce the ability of Ukraine to wage war. This is what NATO would have done since day one with a higher casualty rate. Even western media is surprised that civilian casualties are not higher.

Russia is being too kind on Ukraine. The people of Iraq did not have this luxury. Bomb the entire place to shreds.

As the dollar soars, it spreads pain globally
A surging US dollar is making local currencies weaker and contributing to skyrocketing prices of everyday goods and services.

The Russians announced that the entrance to Kherson district was blocked for civilians, and that they were preparing to defend the city against the attack of the Ukrainians: "We will not give up Kherson easily. We have enough resources to repel the Ukrainian attack and protect the city, and even launch a counterattack if the tactical situation allows it.

We all wanted to protect the lives of the citizens." In the meantime, since the morning hours, the Russian reports of an extensive Ukrainian attack in Kherson, using artillery and the use of many drones, are multiplying
