Avoid Ekiti Roads For Now – FRSC Advises Abuja, Lagos Travellers by lackren(op): 9:54pm On Oct 19, 2022
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised the motoring public travelling from Abuja and Lagos to avoid the Ekiti route due to the bad roads in the state.
The FRSC said the motoring should travel through Ondo State from Abuja to ply Akure-Ondo-Ife-Ibadan or Lagos-Ibadan-Ife-Ondo-Ore-Benin and avoid the Ekiti roads.

The Acting Corps Marshal, FRSC, Dauda Biu, said this in a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO) Mr Bisi Kazeem on Tuesday in Abuja.

He said that the advisory had become necessary because the Igbara-Oke-Ilara-Mokin route is totally blocked at the moment.
The agency advised vehicle owners and commuters from Abuja, via Ondo, to ply Akure-Ondo-Ife-Ibadan or Lagos-Ibadan-Ife-Ondo-Ore-Benin.

Those travelling from Lagos and other parts in the South-West, also through Ondo, to the North, were asked to ply the same route Read Full Story Here

Both. I was in ekiti recently. We had to pass through a town called oke imesi ekiti as soon as we got to itawure where the military checkpoint was mounted. We came out at ijero through ikoro ekiti, from there to ido, ifaki, then kogi state. Apc has finished this country. No wonder kidnapping has been on the rise cos they can't kidnap people on smooth roads, except the kidnappers had signed their death warrant. The daredevils always take advantage of the bad state of our roads to have a field day....bad roads everywhere. Only lagos-ibadan Expressway is the best road in the south west, maybe cos Jonathan started it. This party never started any road here since 2015. If they fail to complete this highway before they leave, we go protest. Osun-ondo highway was tarred by Jonathan when Mimiko was in office. I pity the ekiti people for voting apc again. No single road in that state that's good except the iyin-ado bypass. The whole state had been abandoned now as confirmed in the newspiece by the FRSC. They'd soon come and defend their failure as usual. They may do a shikę-shukę work, and abandon the rest, now that they've been exposed, just like their sukuk-funded constriction on the half lane at ijaye-sango area and abandoned the rest.

Come to ijaye sango road, you'd weep for the residents in that area. This is same lagos in a LG that produces the highest number of votes in the state. People of Alimosho are patiently waiting for them to come and campaign. Only ambode roads and other projects are visible here. They don't even light up the streetlights anymore. Ambode said he'd tar the ijaye-sango road in his 2nd term cos lagosians didn't have to suffer, that the federal govt would reimburse them later cos they can't afford to wait b4 they bring succour to lagosians. People are really suffering in this state. This is same LG that votes candidate into power in lagos every 4 years. Tinubu once said they shouldn't waste tax payers monies on Alimosho but they can count on votes that would elect their candidate every 4 years from Alimosho. Can they have access to the so called tax payers money if they failed to win elections and Alimosho refused to vote them? We're waiting. Monkey no dey for idanre anymore.
