And about last season It wasn't Cristiano that disrupted the team, the team was destined to fail. Pogba and Varane were injured for the majority of the season. Maguire was terrible for the entire season and had no competition. The midfield of Fred and Mctomminay didn't work back then and still doesn't work (which is the reason why they are not played together anymore). Not to mention that Sancho didn't live up to his price tag. There is a reason why Ten Haag bought so many players. The same thing happened back at Juventus, people blaming Ronaldo for the incompetency of the manager and board. After Ronaldo left Juve only became worse. Ronaldo isn't the beast he previously was but blaming him for the terrible performance of a dysfunctional team shows how delusional some of these fans are. The reason why the team is doing better is because team has been completely overhauled and because Ten Haag actually has idea of what he is doing.

Hr made a mistake joining this club...Now this is out there and I don't even know if it is legal: but why doesn't Ronaldo terminate his contract by himself? The man has hundred of millions of dollars and is on the final stretch of his career. Why would he even risk staying in this position? Pay some of the buyout fee and get out of there. Massively cut his wages if that is a holding point. He doesn't need a ridiculous salary at this point. Sure, he is worth a huge salary because of his skill set and marketing but is that worth being at ManU for the rest of the year? Nope. Take a "measly" amount and go play for a team that wants him, a team that needs a striker, and prove all the people at ManU that they were wrong about him.

MU has a track record of holding back players that want to leave. The famous recent cases are David de Gea and Pogba. The idea is that it suits the club and they can veto the decision based on the fact that they can keep them on the small chance the player might be useful. This self-centred approach works both ways. MU should have let him leave when he wanted - before the season started. It is not about how United are performing... Ronaldo can still make the difference for a team that is willing to adjust for him. He wanted to leave because he saw that ETH's style will not fit him... yet MU kept him because it was a option. Important - you cannot judge him based on bringing him on in games where the team is not performing well (and we already know he does not fit the style). What ETH is doing is merely a public exercise to downplay his importance by reducing his PERCEIVED ability. But Ronaldo knows this game. My guess is that Ronaldo is forcing his contract termination so that he can join a team that is willing to indulge him. I wouldn't write him off... the guy has a winning mentality but amazingly showed poor judgement thinking that MU would accommodate him (at his age) and in the condition the club were in.

I'm sad to say that Ronaldo decisions were bad, in the last part of his long succesfull journey after winning everything with both Man United as a youngster and with Real Madrid as part of the second wave of galacticos. If he stayed at madrid he probably would've won more ballon d'ors and his records would've been even higher, the same problem that Lewandowski may face with Barcelona as they are in transition phase, Also like Ronaldo Lewandowski made a move from Bayern Munich when he was the best player in the world 2 times with bayern. What I learned is that if you are over 30 and you are doing good with your current team better not risk it. Don't change the team where you shine more. See the example of Modric he is at Madrid surrounded by best players making him shine even more playing like he is 28 yo when he is 37. Also Muller is doing good job at Bayern. About if Ronaldo should move or not I don't know if Ronaldo can make it to a big club fighting for Champions League after he turns 38 yo in February but for more playtime he should make a move anyway but it is better if he put all his focus on the next World cup. I think Manchester United are doing good and it is better for both sides to part their ways.

He should have joined city..So why being a coward and not say that to Ronaldo face to face? Roy Keane said that he wanted to leave and they didn’t let him go, he had offers from different clubs! So someone is lying here and it’s not Ronaldo! That’s why I love managers like Mourinho, Anceloti, Zidane and Guardiola, they know how to talk face to face with superstars...Ten Hag never trained a superstar and can’t handle the situation with Ronaldo...he just need to be honest with him and say that he don’t want him and Ronaldo will leave with respect for him, but this way it’s impossible for a player that is arguably one of the best in history to respect a manager.
