Let's reason intelligently.

In fewer games, he has the highest goal contribution of any player in history.

As a play maker, he has more goal ratio than any footballer ever.

He has more solo goals, solo moves, chances created, dribbles, outside box goals than any footballer.

As per penalties, he has scored plenty penalties. Sure, he missed a few too. That's inconsequential, as penalties are not meant to be 100 percent.

As per headers, a short guy as Messi (5ft7), scoring with the head isn't feasible. Yet he has a dozen of goals which were headers. He scored a powerful header against Man U in 2009 CL final. Look up the video again and enjoy!

Address my points logically, and let me know why he isn't the greatest of all time.

If Barca had a de bruyne or even Ozil Messi would have had 150 in that year.
Xavi and iniesta in a season combined on an average didn't provide 20-25 assists for Messi.

I absolutely agreed with you. The same reason why Argentina can't seems to get it right. Every little kids coming out of the block is New Messi and those kids just get cast to the side when they do not perform to Messi level. Messi and Ronaldo are exception and comparing any footballers to them is not being fair to such player. We will not see another Messi or Ronaldo anytime soon..

Well, football is not all about goals but goals win games and someone, a striker notably must do that job.

Goals could come from anywhere but it's the work of a strike to score goals and for the other aspect of the game you'd like to touch I hope know there is no point awarded to how beautiful a team plays if they lose at the end of the day.
