Dollar is not our legal tender. Are you earning dollars ? Are "Amelikans" constantly checking out their currency parity with naira and telling their neighbors?

90 percent of products used here in Nigeria are imported, down to the regular matchbox , toothpick, cars to mention a few, This sure affects us in every aspects of our lives as naira is converted to dollars to have these goods purchased & shipped in. Keke is over 2m (from about 120k) as I speak to you, if an unemployed youth & decides to venture into Keke transportation biz, where will he get 2m from? So the dollar rates sure affects us as a dependent nation.

If we decide to live solely on naira it means we will be back to the 1800s. As there won't be solars, gens, cars, phones you can name all imported products bought with dollars
