The scammer just used his moniker because its an aged account and probably wanted you to trust and send first.

Now here's what to do next time to avoid being scammed;

1. Ask the seller / buyer to quote you on Nairaland, do not listen to any excuses to do otherwise.

2. Search their phone numbers here and see if it's been involved in any scam case before. In this case, this number has already scammed a lot of people here and one of them even created a thread of how he scammed him. The other victim is someone I know very well , Callmemakaveli, he got scammed $450 gns paypal that was charged back 2days after it was sold to him.

In the past three days two different scammers have chatted me up about them having PayPal funds. Never ever do transaction with anyone on this thread without using escrow. That's the solution to all the scammers here and on NL in general. Escrow fee is too cheap to fall for these cheap scammers. I learnt my lesson the hard way, lost 70k+ to one wema bank scammer who messaged me about having PayPal funds. Once bitten hundred shy
