It's inconsequential whether they support him or not he is winning the election. One of Newton's law of motions can be explained that time lost can equals time gain. In this scenario whatever Atiku is losing from the South he is gaining it much more from the North. We need to understand that those times where governors write results are over so their influence will not be much felt. The only lost here are their financial contributions and with the CBN changing the currency it's like they can't even influence much because they won't have the money at hand to bribe people. It's only in Rivers that Wike has strong hold on the party structure while in else where that influence is so brittle as you see in Oyo states that they said Makinde is on is own. Further more South will vote massively for Obi so whether Atiku accept it or not South already knows who they are voting so Atiku is wiser to concede to Wike. The worst is that the North are seeing this as a war against them so Atiku is gaining more sympathy votes. This election to the North is seen as a most win just to disgrace Wike and is ally.

Wike is neither a fool nor a neophyte in politics. He won't join a team that can't win even in his home region let alone nationally. We have seen Obi's outing in Nasarawa despite all the noise here and there - campaign launch for that matter.

Story

In 2015 and 2019, buhari won the elections with 15 million votes accrued to him. 80% of those votes were from the north. SW Total voters were about 4 million both times - I mean total voters shared across all parties.

The APC knows those 12 million votes belong to buhari not APC but somehow, a certain someone is having the pipe dream of "inheriting" those votes despite being in contention with other strong northern politicians like Atiku and Kwakwanso for the same votes.

This niggâ thinks he's Abiola and Awolowo wrapped in one. His minions call him a "master strategist" See, in 2023 lessons will be learned. Very brutal lessons but before then, let's keep allocating all the votes in the country to that certain someone.

Wike has this unexplainable aversion for Igbo people.

That’s why he started making senseless appointments. If he wanted to work for Obi, he knows he didn’t need to make those appointments but to just align with his people.

Not related, but why do Nigeria spend so much in election every damn four years while UK that colonize them simply conduct and stick to the the most cheapest style of governance...Nigeria left Uk and copying America where one state of California is richer than the entire Nigeria! This is the problem with you easterners.politics is beyond sentiments or tribe.it is all about self interest.he has calculated that he will gain more in apc than in lp.by February, all will be clear... But if wike works for tinubu,the plan must have started way back from 2015-2019 that is why tinubu camp prefers magnus who works with wike and attacks amechi.

Talking of affinity,the ikwerres and other rivers Igbo are not very friendly towards igbos compared to delta igbos
