Let me share few tips that is useful when buying used second hand phone, because the street is not smiling.

*Most phones comes with police case, spiritual problem, easy buy saga.

1) PHONE AUTHENTICATION - go to xiaomi website and verify the phone authenticity, using the serial number/Imei number. This is the first step to be safe. I saw a clone redmi note 10 Pro last week. Though without even verifying on mi website, i noticed it has thicker bezels, larger punch hole.i told the owner oga this na clone, he no argue.

2)EASYBUY - in as long as receipt is easy to forge, still ask for receipt though, check for little fishy details on it, then allow the holyspirit to guard you if it legit . I still dont have the perfect trick to detect phone on easybuy. Additionally carry bible/quaran and tell owner to swear it not on easybuy

3)STOLEN PHONE - buying a phone without carton is obviously comes with a caveat except you are buying UK USED from a trusted vendor..

Tips-

a)Never forget to check if the mi account is signed out at the point of purchase (if not, if the phone locks in your hand, e don be) i lost 80k once for this single negligence.

b) Always factory reset your phone at the point of purchase..

c)This one works like magic, always update the miui version immediately, if the mi account have been reported to xiaomi by the real owner, phone will lock when you update it.. (FROM EXPERIENCE)

4)SPIRITUAL PROBLEM - if you dont know about phone, go with someone who does, by seeing a phone you should be able to detect if it have been opened for repair before. Most people sell their phones immediately they repair a fault..

Tips
a) check the phone sealing (you should definitely know a phone that have been opened by looking at the edges)
b) Test fingerprint (most used phone fingerprint no dy work and you wunt detect at the point of purchase)
c) check speaker, mouthpiece, earphone port, charging port e.t.c

It's quit easy to detect a phone from Easy Buy, Simply go to Settings - Security - Device Administrators, under that you'll see two things
•Screen Lock Service (If Enabled) and,
•Find My Phone
Any other thing apart from this two is external and was added by a third party (I have forgotten what the Easy Buy admin security is, I would have put the name, so you'll know what to look out for).

If you're unable to detect this way, Simply go to Settings - About Phone or System - Scroll down to the portion that holds your Phone details, like;
¤Model Number
¤Andriod Version
¤Andriod Security Patch Level
¤Baseband Version
¤Kernel Version and,
¤Build Number
If the phone is from Easy Buy, you'll see something like;
¤Custom Build Number or Version that was flash into the Phone's system.
