The media always covers the wrong stuffs and that's what I've noticed.

For a very long time, I actually travelled down the east because of my father's burial. And I'm sorry to say, I'm not really surprised when they say UGM kill some military men. As sad as it sounds and is actually. These military men take 100% advantage of civilians.

They stopped our vehicle for over 30min on that owerri road...quote me... not for stop and search or questioning ooo...

They insisted the driver gave them money before he left.
Well, I been wan change am for am ooo but I thought about the whole insecurity issue in the land.

With my beared and stuffs, I just maintain. Make person no go tag me wrongly for voicing out.

The government is the problem of the people. Wetin heavy military checkpoint dey find for commuters routes. As in, are we in war?

Is it only in imo state that we have unrest?

I do not support evil of any kind but you honestly can't suppress people in their own land ooo...

DamnnNiggarr:
It's near impossible to drive about 10 km within the South East region of the country, without literally meeting Three(3) or more checkpoints of either that of the military (Navy, Army) or that of the police. It not a new thing for those of us that have spent over 55% of our lives living within the region, seeing security forces' checkpoints here and there.
The worst part of it all is that Owerri road axis,
Anyone plying that axis steady, can attest to it.
From the foot of the first Niger bridge to Enamel junction down to the second Niger bridge interchange at idemili, through Owerri road, you will meet 3 navy checkpoints and 1 Army checkpoint at upper iweka, opposite chisco park, Lagos park, Onitsha to Enugu express way, that's a distance of less than 10 km within Onitsha.

Now, tell me why would any reasonable human being want to be part of such a useless and failed country? The more you advocate for one Nigeria, the more you're NOT only advocating for your enslavement but your DEATH!

Imo is not left out. Soldiers at Ukwu Orji along Owerri - Onitsha road are having a field day. No one cares for the common man.

I travel from Abuja to Kaduna and Kano with not a single checkpoint despite bandits being around, but in the South East even within villages where you hardly find cars but bicycles and motorcycles you will find Police and military checkpoints extorting and harrassing commuters at every 1 kilometre distance, and people still wonder why there's some level of indifference when these checkpoints get attacked by unknown gunmen in the South East
They deserve it in the East. Na them dey support the criminal activities of IPOB Terrorist.

The North is very safe. Yesterday, I drove from Abuja to Kaduna around 9pm. I was in Jos 4 days ago and I was in Kano last week. You can not travel in any part of East from 5:30pm. Cause you won't make it to your destination.

It is true and it is a sign of how rotten this country is, there is no discipline but corruption even in our military, gone are those days when army used to be held in high regard but they are now nothing.

Arrogance and ignorance is a dangerous combo. Try Zamfara to Niger state unless those are no longer northern states.

Stop being foolish, it has always been this way. The North East that is being ravaged by Boko Haram doesn't have this number of checkpoints. The number of checkpoints between Benin and Lagos is also very much so stop thinking it's restricted to the South East and South South

The crazy thing is that they know these foolish gunmen might attack their checkpoint but instead of them to be alert they seem to be more occupied with collecting money from motorists

When Igbo people dey celebrate the activities of Bandits and BH in the North, we no complain. Today, the East is the epic center of all forms of criminalities. While the North is peaceful. Make una enjoy while it last.

The problem is the people that stays far away but need to use that route, because the locals knows the drill. 2 weeks ago, I needed to go to Benin from phc and I had to use that route due to flooding on East West Road, getting to a particular check point where they normal ask all occupants of the vehicle to come down and walk across their check point and continue on the other side.
We were four men in our vehicle with the driver, we didn't know about the rule and we drove to check point, the soldier on duty was asking us why are we in the vehicle, we didn't understand what our offence was, he ordered us to come down, and told the driver to park by the side and give him the car keys. We spent close to 2 hours there, the driver gave the soldier 5k for us to continue our journey. Evil knows no one's face. Let's all speak out against evil where ever is been done.
