in response to your question, every state has its own lodge in their various and Abuja so Ebonyi shouldn't be exceptional so that when the governor/top govt officials come into the federal capital for one function or the other will need to rent or be in a hotel except he chooses too.

Make the findings about that for yourself to ascertain the truth/facts but as far as I know and as it stands today, I am correct on this.

Nobody is particular about Ebonyi. Critics here are generally saying that the idea of building state houses in Abuja is waste of public funds.

Why should there be a governor's lodge in ebonyi state when there is a government house there

The governor's lodge built in Abuja to enable every governor or top state government officials to have a convenient place to stay while in Abuja for official duties. Every state has a lodge or house where their governor or state government officials stays when they have meetings and businesses with the federal government In Abuja.. they are not to lodge in hotels during regular visits to the capital.

We keep crying of poverty and dying economy, yet' our governors are building so called "governors lodge" with the little states fund left, now, tell me what a governor living in one particular state doing with lodge in Abj, is Abj his home? what is the maintenance cost of such lodge? who occupys such lodge? etc, and our economy keeps going down with unnecessary expenditure!!!
yet' some Nigerians are comfortable with that and claps for them for such senseless project.
