Croatia and Ecuador take football serious. Iran does not.

Croatia was part of the old Yugoslavia...and one thing about many of them former communist nations was their investment in sports...especially at the youth level. Old habits die hard.

(Qatar is not serious enough yet. And they know it).

By investment, I don't mean just money. Anyone can throw money at football...but passion, interest, enthusiasim cannot be bought.
