samorobo:The average African man is timid and lacks the spirits of patriotism and nationalism. He cowers easily before whites and other foreigners for small benefits. Look at Kenya for example with whites and Indians taking the best parts of the land, not to mention the Chinese keeping them in perpetual debt slavery. The African man needs to come into his own and become more useful to himself and the world. |

68816419:The driver said one can get a good meal such as a plate of rice with cow meat/beef in Abuja local restaurants for about 500-600 naira. Now if we want to use the black market that's below 1 dollar and even in the official rate, you are talking about 1 dollar 20 Cents. Food in Abuja is definitely cheap due to it's proximity to the North I guess. |

You can only take your space by going to school, working harder, thinking better and living better than them. Empty patriotism & nationalism best exemplified by Ghana & Nigerians here wont take you anywhere. Their cousins in the US arent doing any better with their unnecessary passive aggressive behaviors. Indians and Chinas are going to US & Europe - and taking over without raising their heads. They japanese and asians are very respectful people but give them work - and they deliver. They could be 5 feet tall but they soon earn respect, grow wealthy and take their rightful space. Meanwhile Nigerians take their rightful space in prisons. What will earn us respect is not useless aggressions but civilization. We need to learn from other civilization. Kenyans are most likely to become respected in their future if they stick to reading hard, working hard and generally following the rules & order - and avoid Nigerian type of useless primitive aggressions compounded by drugs & crime. Nobody will respect a criminal minded noise maker. obaaderemi: |

rvp20182:Certain things are impossible to achieve as a nation without patriotism and nationalism. There's no nation building without those. That's why on average Africans are poorly educated and poorly fed because nobody cares about the land and its people. It's everyone for himself. I don't expect a Kenyan to understand. Shalom. |

What will make your be proud of Nigeria? You cannot be suffering and smilling - with empty patriotism and nationalism. You want to take pride of human achievement as Nigerians. That is what build patriotism and nationalism. Kenyans wherever they go proudly wear the kenya flag and know we have done well at least compared to our region despite not having oil or diamond. What can you take pride of as a NIGERIAN today. Your country is total mess - both domestically and internationally - and has serious image problem. At least Ghana can be proud to be in world cup though they will exit in 1st round as always. Kenya we proudly represent africa race in althetics. That helps build our patriotism and nationalism as long distance conquerers of the world. obaaderemi: |

Equity Group profit will definitely exceed 0.5B dollars this year - on back of massive lending (only 1 percent invested in gov bonds) - total assets now 13B dollars. NAIROBI, Nov 22 (Reuters) - Kenya's Equity Group Holdings' EQTY.NR pretax profit rose by just over a fifth in the first nine months of the year, helped by growth in non-funded and interest income, Chief Executive Officer James Mwangi said on Tuesday. Mwangi told an investor briefing that pretax profit rose 21% to 44.3 billion shillings ($363 million) in the first nine months of this year, with non-funded income growing 31% to 41.1 billion shillings and gross interest income jumping 26% to 84.2 billion shillings. Mwangi expects the growth in non-funded income, largely driven by trade finance, to continue in future. "It grew faster than interest income. This is not a one-off. It is the new normal," he said. Equity also operates in Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda, and has a representative office in Ethiopia. The bank said its total assets grew 15% to 1.36 trillion shillings, while customer deposits were up by the same margin to 1 trillion shillings. |

rvp20182:Oh, there's a lot to be proud of as a Nigerian though the country is a mess just like yours. Type Africa's biggest economy on your device and see if it's Kenya that pops out. DRC and Ethiopia are also large countries but they're battered economically and far more chaotic than Nigeria. Apart from a shred of our northern region we are relatively peaceful. I see you mentioned sports. That's one particular area we do quite well compared to other African countries. The 100m hurdles world record holder is a Nigerian. That's one aspect of athletics that's far more competitive than long distance running you are known for. Nobody gave Nigeria any chance in that area. We've represented Africa at the world cup more than any other African country except Cameroon. Have you ever gone to the world cup? People start businesses in Nigeria and thrive. Some of our businesses are in Kenya already and doing well. We have our bad eggs like everyone else but the good ones too are many, like the two Nigerians who formed Helios and made good in Kenya. |
