Following the fire disaster at Tejuosho, Yaba, Lagos on 1st November, 2022, the Igbere Welfare Union, Lagos Branch has provided relief materials and cash to some victims of the sad incident. The event took place on 22/11/2022.
The cash and relief materials ranged from N10,000 to N600,000 and included industrial sewing machines, straight sewing machines and generating set.

According to Chief Chinasa Uche, the President of Igbere Welfare Union, Lagos Branch,

"Today the 22nd of November 2022 marks twenty one days after the ugly fire incident that burnt down goods an properties belonging to some Igbere people in Lagos
Twenty days after we cried to nde Igbere , the response we got was quite massive encouraging and timely
Knowing that the idea behind the quick response was for these these victims to resume back with their businesses we decided to distribute the materials and funds
This was done this morning at the same site that got distroyed

A total of twenty people were given various amounts and items depending on what they lost..."
