'Love Has Left The Church': Apostle Suleman Calls Out Pastors Who Judged Sammie Okposo

General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleman has criticised his colleagues who "judged" gospel singer Sammie Okposo when he was involved in a scandal but are now posting his photos to mourn him following his death, IGBERETV reports.

He wrote on Twitter;

"Now they post his pictures…but never reached out in his trying times..
He told me what pastors did to him and we both wept..
Love has left the church..
We have more ‘lawyers’ who are ready to judge than intercessors ready to restore..
Rest in power my brother..
You conquered!"

This is one problem I have with Nigerians. They judge a lot even though they're most times worse than the person they're condemning.

That's the kind of people we have all over these days.
When you need serious help, no one to look at you but once you're no more, EYE SERVICE.
The worst part is those that will start judging your acts and attitudes as if alot of them are not worst. Anytime I remember the parable of Jesus Christ and the prostitute, I just imagine what would've happened to that woman if Jesus didn't show up at the temple that moment. We humans should stop judging others. Live and let others live

When someone strays, I feel he should be rightly rebuked ( not thrown out) and not indulged. That might even be the 'love' hr need to come back to his senses.

Those showing unnecessary solidarity in the times of wrong may be the enemies that want them to sink deeper into their sins

Many Christians are just waiting for someone to fall so that they can feel they are holier than others

This was a complicated situation,he may have died of natural causes or any other health issue unrelated to lack of love or being judged as has been touted.

At what point was it realized that love has left the church?
What is love and who are those that deserve to be loved in the church or by the church

Those "business centers" cannot be referred to as the church and you cannot find love in a business center, rather you find profit!

To those who condemned him,to those who could no longer invite him for programs and to those who mocked him,he is now gone,look around for another person to fill the gap.

What we have with us who remain for now are lessons to be learnt.

If you are in church business and you want to remain relevant,then don't be in a position of weakness. JUST one exposed error cost him a lot while several others because of the religious position they hold would have downplayed it and used several tools to suppress the matter.

In the end,our lives were not meant to be a bed of roses,you fight a good fight until you reach the transition

Most Nigerian Christians are largely a disgrace to the clear sacred teachings of Christ... We have become more of Pharisees than Shepherds.

Most Christians are literally triumphant and elated whenever terrible things befall fellow Christians who they consider overbearing or out of line.

Many of you are judgmental, hypocritical, toxic, mean-spirited, unloving, vindictive, selfish, and downright bitter souls claiming to be pious.

What the heck is "judge". Or is it only politicians we should condemn their bad behavior? Or we should just accommodate bad behavior without correcting it.

Of course we reprove in love. People will always justify their weaknesses one way or the other.
