Stop that, I know the state very well. Saying he and his predecessor did nothing is a very big lie.They might not have performed up to your expectations but, you need to be fair even to your enemies.

No sensible person will compare the clueless and extremely corrupt Jonathan to a brilliant and prudent financial manager like Oyetola.

Jonathan became president at the height of Nigeria’s oil boom. He inherited a country free of debt and with oil production and price at the highest ever. At the end of the day, he had absolutely nothing to show for it other than huge debt and abandoned projects.

Oyetola on the other hand inherited a dysfunctional state with over N200billion debt, months of unpaid workers salaries, religious crisis and huge debt to contractors. In addition, he was governor at the worst period of time in terms of revenue from federation account and covid-19 pandemic.

Despite all the above challenges, he paid N97billion outbid the debt he inherited and did not take a single kobo as loan. He cleared all the workers salaries and still left over N14billion for the incoming administration. He also resolved the socio-religious problems that Rauf created. Just recently, world bank maned him the best governor in Nigeria in terms of prudent management of state finances.

So, how’s Oyetola and Jonathan the same thing? Make it make sense.

In Osun before the advent of Aregbe,our politians normally made used of blocks for drainages in Most local roads and the tar on the roads will ware off after 6months,but Aregbe constructed 10 km in each LG,standard grades local roads with concrete drainages across the 30 LG we have in the state and it was there as if it was constructed yesterday after 8yrs of construction,public schools buildings were glorified poultry with leaking roof across the state,Aregbe built very standard public schools buildings across the state and then,Osogbo was a mere LG headquarter before he came,but he gave us befitting state capital before he left with tenth of billions spent in Osogbo alone.

These are few out of many giant stride from him, that is why we referred to him as father of modern osun.

OYETOLA, THE SILENT ACHIEVER



The truth is they simply just hate Oyetola till date they can't even come out to say what he did wrong. He's one of the best Governor Osun ever had, His crime is reversal of some policies by his Predecessor, and he didn't just reverse them he listened to the yearnings of the people after due consultations. He never owed workers salaries, in his tenure there was an astronomical increase in Osun IGR, if you care to know he's a Finance expert with track records. He personally was the one that proposed half salary as the Chief of staff to the Governor to negate the actions of Aregbesola's Loan even when Aregbesola was lost and Osun was almost in crisis.

If you care to know Aregbesola due carry out some ineffective policies without due consultation with his cabinet members, but you just have to follow him after all he is the Governor.

Even with the debt burden he inherited he tried in his way to stabilize the state by completing abandoned projects, created and finished some of his own project. His rebelled partymen worked against him.

Oyetola had more credentials and track records than Adeleke but once a campaign of calumny is launched on you it is hard to overcome, and also the turn of the 2018 election brought more hatred for him so that nothing he did that would please the Osun Populace

I personally will like Osun populace to taste the 4 years of Adeleke and compare. But I can assure in the first one year of Adeleke it will be blame game on the previous government, that nothing meaningful would have been achieved.

People have even started frowning at his first appointment, it was just a mere reward for people that worked for that election not on credibility parsay.
