Ebubu: No, I won't solely sponsor her, but can co-sponsor her. A woman that's employed and have ambitions will always work towards it, and by the time she's interested in pursuing more degree, she would have had some savings for the tuition. I will only support with what I can comfortably forgo, without expecting anything back from her. Also, it's wrong to put all your savings into a business, education or anything. Wise people always set goals for themselves and meet the target. There should be separate savings for education, vacation etc.,which won't affect your main or other savings. There are many woman sponsoring their own Master's, and Ph.D. is even free. And there are many women that are brilliant and will surely get fully-funded scholarship for Master's and Ph.D. And in this guy's case, he's likely to be sponsoring his wife's undergraduate program, which is even more expensive and unwise. Nextlife1: Wether you have been married for a decade or century, your actions are not justifiable. It's unwise to do what you are doing. Even the elites that their kids will end up marrying rich folks, will always enroll their kids in school, some till Ph.D. level before/after marriage. You people (both genders) always let love becloud your reasoning hence the reason you always settle for less. Your wife was not exposed to some lifestyle before marriage but now that she's schooling, she's met men of different social class which has made her feel more valuable and reckless at the same time. Also, men like you that have plans to enroll their woman in school should also upgrade their own life in terms of education, enlightenment and social class because women like your wife will be carried away easily by some basic things. I can't advise you on what to do however, let her finish her exams and then bring up the issue. During the discussion, watch out for both verbal and non-verbal cues. Process them and pray to whatsoever you believe in to guide you. You did no wrong sponsoring her education. It is part of what marriage is about so don't guilt trip yourself. Marriage is about uplifting one another and big kudos for you for bot trying to suppress your wife. Most importantly, if you can, do not disclose anything happening in your home to friends and family. Come online to rant if you need to. If you choose to forgive her, those you tell may never. Na so one babe being sponsored by her husband for my Uni back in the days was dating her class mate and one lecturer. She eventually fell in love with the lecturer sotey, when she was pregnant she was still sleeping with him. It was confusing for us back then cos we thought the pregnancy ought to be for her husband. It is very hard for a young wife that is still schooling not to cheat with her colleagues and other men. Most guys that did this regretted it, including a friend of mine. If I were you, I would make her sign a oath with her blood not to cheat on me before the commencement of her schooling. Both men and women do it anyway. This body is not wood. She can't stop now.
