Yes John Mahama is very smart - and this Nana fool has finished Ghana.
I didnt like him from get go - he talks but never does anything

popizaino:
Financial prudence is not a thing for this present gov. Everything you saw was predictable and warned by the former president and to my amazement this man wasn't using teleprompter when he was churning out raw statistics of the state of things and bad they were cooking stats off his head but idiots here thought dismissed his claims as mere political campaign. They should enjoy the moment while it last.

Your rating is equally poor. You have a B+ with negative outlook. You are neck deep in mud, boy.
Save it Afonja, after Ghana the zoo is next in line for economic implosion.

Yet you cant pay domestic debt until 2027 - let alone external.
You're completely broke until 2033 earliest.
And the more you defend the indefensible the more we laugh smiley
debt swap does not mean failure to pay .. it means creating more liquidity room by extending your spread.

As you can see in the budget, all domestic debt due has been budgeted for. grin

The facts says otherwise... I only spend 35% of revenue on debt servicing grin grin

On the other hand Kenya is completely broke Compensation item and debt service is taking 130 of Kenya revenue grin
I remember when you were busy virtue signaling to the Nigerians that wages and debt servicing took 90% of their revenue and not knowing Kenya was worse
grin

Very useful because that was 2020 - and kenya was struggling
Now in 2022 - it's Nigeria
If you behave like Ghana mad gov - you're going down.
Reform

Do you see Kenya here grin grin

Japan proves a hard nut to crack, always. Just like they did against Belgium 4 years ago at the quarter final stage.
Hope they win this one.

These things are beyond your comprehension so I'll spare you grin grin

At least you can't dispute Bloomberg grin grin
Spending 14 billion dollars on debt servicing for 2023 has sent your country into bankruptcy.
With wages and other poverty payment to employees taking an extra 10 billion dollars.

That's a zoo situation there

As at October, I knew Kenyan debt servicing had skyrocketed to around 1 trillion shillings. Dunno about now.

this is what Bloomberg is saying
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-04-08/how-kenya-s-debt-service-obligations-climbed-to-12-billion

It's just insane that just w obligations is already gulping up 130% or realistically 140% of revenue because out of the 26 billion that their government budgeted to spend, wages and compensation is expected to take more than half according to Bloomberg

How many schools have you visited in Nigeria? Also, primary and secondary schools are not the major responsibilities of the man in Abuja but your state and local Governments. Hold them responsible too.
Neither are they for Akufo-Addo. You see, when most states govenors are your party members, it is easier for you to implement your policies. Why hasn't Education changed on bit in naija, why? State government?? NOoooooooo..

Moreso, from my understanding, the bodies that manage the standard of education across all states are united aren't they? Isn't that why they call them "Ministry of Education?" Okay good. Who appoints the 'man' that oversees the activities associated with the ministry of Education? state governor? NOoooooo...

Not saying you don't have a point, you do. But when it comes to governance, akufo-addo and Buhari no be mates. Plus, education system is like absolutely free, plus feeding. My sibling attends a public school nd i can actually beat my bloody chest and tell you that the average public school in Ghana is on par with some high profile private schools in naija.

I've marked waec before bro, so i know what i'm saying. grin grin grin grin
Have you seen news where Ghanaian students score highest scores in waec? bro, does kids are mostly from public schools. It surprises me too. grin grin

I shouldn't have to tell you sha. Infact, a lot of Governors in Nigeria can't go beyond chieftaincy title in Ghana. Kikikikiki...

Lastly, before you think it's my Ghanaian bias, I stayed in naija for the 24 years.. i've only been in Ghana for 3. Capecoast uni the best uni in west africa?? ordinary capecoast uni? ohhhh,,, naija needs to have a nuclear weapon shot at it, then we start from scratch..

Have you been to community where a grinding machine operator who stays in the village, and watches TV while grinding maize in his shop? Even more shocked was i, when i went to que in line with a load of local fisher women for health care insurance.. Bro, Ghana is like miles ahead. Don't get me started self. Let me chip in that public schools teachers are better paid.
So where is all this money coming from? the small petroleum reserve discovered just some few years ago.. Ghana has its bad side too, one being the hookup culture of nurses grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Kenya is not Ghana or Nigeria - which dont know how to manage their finances.

Ordinary taxes - KRA collected KShs. 2.031 Trillion during the Financial Year 2021/2022 then add another A-I-A - another 230B kshs.

So average debt repayment (interest+principal) of 1.1 trillions against total revenues of 2.2 trillion kshs - that 50% debt servicing ratio.

This year projected is 1.4 trillion public debt repayment - against 2.4 trillion Kshs revenues

lunatic...
Debt servicing is 1.47 trillion (12 billion)
Wages, compensation already takes more than half of your 26 billion budget ...

You can't even finance capital and recurrent expenditure.
The funny thing is that the IMF bailout program you're in will not solve Kenya's problem and cutting down expenditure does not even start to solve the major because it will only reduce your govt debt addition which seek to reduce it budget deficit
.
Real problem is how to. Cut Kenya debt servicing cost and wage bill to managed levels in order to have liquidity to avoid further default.

That's what poor finance management looks like grin grin

It should bother you less when I say congrats to Boer -- cos they are.
Also, kalenjins dominate marathon and long-distance races -- we refer to them as Kalenjins because they are. Kikuyus are dominant in safari rally --- Luhyas and luos are dominant in rugby --- Mijikenda are good at swimming... Etc. We should be proud of our races and ethnicities.
