The war on drugs led by Marwa has taken an ethnic tone and has derailed to arresting and seizing assets of legitimate Igbo pharmaceutical manufacturers and dealers so much so that the economy of Anambra is feeling the toll.

This has led to the pan Igbo cultural group, Ohaneze Ndigbo calling on Peter Obi to sack Marwa as head of the NDLEA once elected as President and to also ensure all innocent Igbo businessmen arrested by Marwa are freed and all those convicted be pardoned and released.
