One time Leader of the CRSHOA, Rt. Hon. Fabian Okpa, has officially dumped his former party 'PDP', to the ruling party 'APC', with his supporters.

He was welcomed into the party by the Leader of Obubra APC, Hon. Chief Alex Irek, Member Representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, Speaker of Cross River State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jones, The Executive Chairman of Obubra Local Government Area, Hon. Bassey Tom (Ph.D), Chapter Chairman, Mr. Denis Egor, Commissioner for industries, Hon. Peter Egba, Dir. Media/publicity and official spokesman of Prince Otu campaign council, Hon. Chief Ernest Irek, SSA Anti-deforestation, Comr. Richie Romanus, Chairman Governing board, College of Health Tech., Calabar, Hon. Solomon Ekam, State Rep., Mr. Erong Igwe, Hon. Etaba Etaba, Mr. Nsiyan Ogar (Dubest), Mr. Egbe Abeng, Mr. Leonard Ogwa, Leader of Obubra LGA Legislature, Hon. Ebokdima Anthony Onagha, APC councilors, ward and chapter executives, Hon. In his defection speech, the Rt. Hon. thanked His Excellency, Sir Ben. Ayade, for his magnanimity, kindheartedness and always playing a fatherly role. He referred to PDP as a death party and that PDP is not a place for good people to exist. He Further stated that, for the first time, APC will sweep the entire votes of Ofumbungha/Yala ward, from House Of Assembly to Presidential elections. This is to explain that, the All Progressive Congress is coasting home with landslide victory in the coming elections.
