100k per week is too small it should be raised to 500k per week and 100k per day for individual but emefiele and buhari are too wicked to care about the masses that will suffer the consequences of their useless policy
Exactly! And their main target for doing this may not even be affected at all

There is no limit on the transaction you can do online

Btw, Is using online alternatives for transactions suffering.

You people have been demoralise to thrive on negativity.
Think of people in core north who trade grains etc that mostly prefer their money to be paid in cash... We shouldn't be defending every rubbish from APC govt

Those who keep cash in their homes. You will be amazed that trillions of naira has been kept in some homes for years. They are either or both used for terrorism, corruption and illegal activities
You still haven't said which "significant amount of corruption" cbn is alleviating by changing bank notes

The Rubber Stamp Senate won't do much.

As long as their darling daddy has assented to it; nothings gonna happen

You put millions of naira notes inside house? Why are you furious over the change of notes. The current notes becomes obsolete and it is fine by me. You have your opinion, it is fine as well but we can't reverse anything and their decision is not foolish overall if we have to ask the opinion of over 200 million citizens

Think things through before you comment.

Most countries in the world have moved beyond cash, and you people always harp on about how Nigeria is underdeveloped.

We're tired of lame excuses for some unwashed masses who won't get with the times. We refused to be held back by ignorant folks who chose to remain in the stone ages. Technology and progress will not wait nor bend over for anyone.

There's nothing you can't do with electronic transactions, you don't need that much paper money in circulation.

I can't even remember the last time I held or needed paper money, home and abroad, even for taxis and trains.
Dumba$$

Wtf you put up there pu$$¥

CBN, Buhari, please stand your ground. This is one the best policies of this regime.
It is good but we are not ripe for that. At least 50k a day is good.

Cashless policy will end looting

Every single cash can be traced

Anyone against it is benefiting from the fraud
Careless rant!!! In which economy? The poor people do not loot. Most Africans are sleepwalking. They have no experience in boxing ring yet would want fight heavyweight champion.

Do you know that some BIG gas stations within the metropolis don't take transfer..
They wouldn't have a choice in a cashlite climate.

IMASTEX:
It has it's merits & drawbacks. The thing is that those looters won't mind paying the 5% to withdraw stolen funds to hoard it.
Are you aware in addition to the penality, you have to fill forms, staring the purpose of the withdrawals and the BVNs and NINs of the recipients?

Yes, I am very much aware and it isn't nouveau, cash withdrawal above 5M for individuals do fill in their personal details. My question is, if it hasn't change anything before now. Why do you think it will be effective now?! Or are they bring key persons from the moon?!

Oga it doesn't change anything. Certain persons can't be questioned. Who are those to question who? And how did they even get to the office they occupy? On the front page, the custom officer that exposed illegal smuggling is still in detention. Wrong doing is official in Nigeria.
