In 2011, your GDP was around $458B --- Kenya was doing $46B. In 2022 (a decade later)--- Kenya has doubled, and south Africa is doing $50B less - in simplest terms, your GDP is in descending trajectory.
No projection has ever predicted Kenya overtaking Angola, but yeah, we did.

It' s a matter of common sense. If you decompound that data well, you'll realize they just based their findings on the forecast of GDP growth rate... Bigger economies will still stand high.

Lemme give you an instance:

In 2005, your projected GDP growth rate was around 4.3% -- one of the highest! By then, your GDP was around $333B -- two years down the line, your economy shrank to $316B -- $329B respectively. You're now projecting your GDP growth rate for the year 2023 to 1.1%. let's see if you can achieve that. My projection for your 2023 GDP growth rate is -3%... Your GDP will shrink a little bit due to a lackluster economy -- rise in load shedding, poor governance, and pretty much everything brought by the ANC. And in 2024 --- I believe you'll have the aggressive Malema. He will grab back the land and reinstate the blacks. That will be a catastrophe for the South African economy! E-payment transactions in Nigeria hit N38.9 trillion in November 2022

Data released by the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement Systems (NIBSS) has revealed that transactions worth N38.9 trillion (around 80 Billion dollars) were performed electronically in November through the NIBSS Instant Payment platform (NIP).

Nairametrics understands that this is the highest monthly transaction record on the platform.

Impressive growth: According to the NIBSS data, the November figure brought the total value of NIP deals in the last 11 months to N345 trillion (around 700 Billion dollars).

Year on year, the e-payment value increased by 50% compared with the N25.9 trillion recorded in November last year. Compared with the N34.5 trillion recorded in the preceding month, the November figure also shows a 12.7% growth.The value of the e-payment recorded was a reflection of the increase in the volume of deals within the month. The NIP volume rose to 492.2 million in November, showing a 53.8% increase over 319.9 million recorded in the same period last year.

More growth anticipated: While the cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is already gaining traction with many Nigerians embracing the use of the various e-payment channels for transactions, the revised cashless policy, which is further limiting the amount of cash that can be withdrawn by individuals and corporate organisations will further drive a surge in electronic transactions across the country.

According to the new policy which followed the redesigning of N1,000, N500, and N200 notes, effective from January 9, 2023, cash withdrawal by an individual will be limited to N100,000 a week, while corporate organisations have an N500,000 withdrawal limit in a week.
