At the end of the day, what we saw was a solitary picture of him sitting around a coffee table with what seemed like two 25 year old admin officers who looked like they had no idea why they were asked to meet Atiku. No French minister had the time to meet him.

Obi snapped a ludicrously-staged and cringe worthy picture in front of EU building in Brussels. The picture was trumpeted as a sign that he is 'engaging with international leaders and organisations'.

Tinubu does Chartam House, and the reverberation, analysis and counter analysis is still going on till today. In fact, every day, Arise TV has one or two slots where they bring in experts to continue to discuss 'Tinubu at Chartam House'.

Yet, in the UK 99.9% of the populace don't know anything about Chartam House, and have not heard the name before. It is a largely insignificant institute in the UK, but here, we are obsessed with it. We have now made it a compulsory pre election pilgrimage for our presidential candidates to talk to us from Chartam House in a foreign country.

We have elevated these countries to a level they can't even believe. Why should the opinion of an American president or any foreign leader influence how we vote here. Every day we scrutinise every news to see if America or Europe is supporting any candidate, if we see even the most remote sigh, we start celebrating for that candidate. Is America or Europe feeding you, paying your house rent, or if you have children, paying their school fees? What is their business with our election. Anytime we see any sign of interference with how we vote and who we vote for, we should, irrespective of the candidate you support, come together to butt out or else we mount pressure on the government to pose sanctions on them.


Yes, Nigeria can impose sanctions on even the USA, let alone declining minnows like France and the UK. We just don't have the right leaders.

Checks the trade figures between the EU and Nigeria or Even Africa self, and see who import more and who export more, Nigeria and Africa import more from EU and even what we export mostly natural resources like oil and gas, Nigeria is heavily dependant in such export to stay aloft.
