I know Kurmin Maashi very well in Kaduna. I may also know the man you talked about . Down the road, off that express way is Sefa Specialist Hospital in Kaduna, off college road. The owner, Dr Akuse was a highly intelligent doctor. He passed away in 2014. How time flies. Nobody even remembers him again in their association called SOGON, where he used to be very active. I've been to the lengths and breadth of Nigeria, even transversed the Atlantic ocean, down to Indian ocean and the Great Mediterranean sea and I've come to realise one thing, vanity upon vanity, all is vanity.

My mum is almost 90 years old. Very active in her hay days. The moment I read your post, my mind went straight to her and i wished I saw her that very moment. There was a day I first gave her money and she said, please give it to Igede, her maid taking care of her. I asked, but why and she said nothing, that the lady would need it to be buying things for her. My mama wey no dey trust anyone with money .

I hope people would learn from this reality. The Buhari we're talking about today, the politicians who think they own Nigeria, would soon become a passing whim. I boarded same flight as Prof Sagay sometime ago. I looked at this man and remembered how he used to be active in those days. Prof is a good friend of president buhari. He walked a little and sat on a couch at the airport to rest a little, putting his walking stick aside. I greeted him and he just waved his hand...a refined gentleman, full of honesty. I asked a young man recently, what can you tell me about Awolowo. I pointed to his big statue at the Agidingbi junction, off Awolowo way in Ikeja. He said, i learnt he was a popular politician. That was the same man who gave our grand parents the opportunity of passing through western education by making it free. He's been forgotten by many, just like that?

This life is not worth stressing oneself over. I just look at the greedy politicians at times and shake my head. They'd soon be gone and nobody would remember them ever again. Thanks for sharing this.

However, people should not misconstrue it with laziness. Life is vanityl that is a fact; We bring nothing into the world and we will take nothing out of it; that is another fact. The only thing we will be left it is our beautiful memories; that is also a fact.

However, you need money to create beautiful memories on earth. Do not say because you bring nothing into the world and you will take nothing out of it, you will not stop being hardworking. That means you will take very sad and poor memories out of this world.

I also have a retired Major General friend whom I served as a golf caddy at the NDA golf course in Kurmi Mashi, Kaduna.
He was so rich he built a beautiful house he was so proud of.

I visited him too not long ago and wanted us to climb to our favorite spot on his balcony upstairs.

He stared at me with a broad smile and said, "IT, I can't remember the year I went up there. It is lizards and cobwebs and the likes that live there now.

Even the kids, when they come, they don't enjoy my company in the house any more than a few hours and they are gone.

I don't have the limbs to climb up there again and the cost of cleaning keeps getting higher."

I have seen a lot more things.

My mom took possession of all my father's properties after his death. She left the children with peanuts. Fathers company sent millions of naira life insurance to her but she lied to family and even we the children it was a lesser amount.. Only God knows weytin she wan use all the money and property do. But I am just lost of words, just saw a man I respected very well in my neighborhood going through a bet website on his phone. Like!!!, Jesus Christ, there is hardly any man out there except me and and one of my friend that don't play sports betting, the other time it was a manager from place of work who is a supposedly pastor from a top church I saw,he was even hiding it. Not to talk of some other colleagues that would use the office internet to play betting the whole day even long after closing hours. It is worse than I thought

The most important thing we need in our life is a GUIDE because imagine the old people you visited living their whole life without a GUIDE and coming to realised lately when it's dark that they've live their whole life without a GUIDE.
I know and i repeat it again that i know for sure that our creator would not ask us how many degree or money or how many times we go to church or donate to the church while one earth but what he's going to ask us is what we did about the understanding of his WORD because his WORD is life and to know it is life and he said we should know him for he's the WORD. Some of us today only know our wealth our riches our job our wife our husband our children our church our pastor our GO our girl/boyfriend our selves our ranks and titles but when it comes to the WORD we are lost because we've been left without a GUIDE.

I first came across Lucky Igbinedion in 1999. Loads of security everywhere as he marched to his imposing S-Class. Next time I came across him at much closer quarters was in 2018 at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, dragging his luggage by himself. Some taxi guys hailed him and he returned the greeting as he walked past.

What a difference 19 years makes. But these people do not consider these things.
