I am not a fan of Obaseki, I dislike him with great intensity , especially for the fact that he has paid staff of Colben their pensions and gratuity, putting families in stress.

In as much as I distaste him and his very poor road constructions he does.. The street light deserves a lot of commendations.

1. The Edo Light up project is a long term project, as it’s connected to a gas power plant

2. With no reliance on Diesel, there is no avenue to steal in the guise of Diesel purchase

3. Uninterrupted power to the street lights.

4 . Cost of governance is reduced in the long term, since there won’t be need to re-purchase generators , repair generators

5. All the street lights are connected to a separate, independent power line. This means private individuals and company can easily purchase 24 hrs lights from the gas plant via the already constructed power lines that powers the street lights.

6. For people screaming Solar Lights, that’s is for short-sighted governors as we know there is no maintenance culture in Nigeria, the solar lights don illuminate brightly and once a solar light is dead, forget replacement. With the Edo light up project , when a street light dies, the bulb doest cost more than one thousand naira

7. Night life is restored and assured in Benin. You know witches fly a lot in Benin , but with the streetlights , you spiritual and physical safety increases by a lot

8. It can easily be continued by the next government as the heavy investment cost has already be done by Obaseki when he introduced the Independent Gas Power Plant in his first administration that now powers all government establishment, street lights and most private companies.

9. I still dislike Obaseki

10. I still dislike the man who dethroned the mouth leaking Oshiomole who claims Obidients are 4 people tweeting from a room
