Di Maria is Argentina's joker. Scaloni knew they'd focus their attention on Messi, so putting Di Maria in that position was a masterstroke.

Man of the first half - Di Maria for winning the penalty and scoring the team goal.

Messi has been fantastic as well. Scoring that penalty under pressure was not a small feat. Also he created the space for the second goal with his smart reverse pass under pressure to release McAllister.

The job isnt done yet though. Argentina need to up their game even further and shut out the French because just a single goal will galvanise France in this game.

Ronaldo De lima is a better player than cr7, in my opinion.

I am a CR7 fan and I am trying hard not to be partial. This is why CR7 was in the GOAT debate and ranked higher than Ronaldo De Lima

1. He won all major national team titles apart from the world cup
2. He has won all the major league titles in the toughest leagues in the world: England, Spain, Italy and Portugal
3. He has won the Champions league countless times
4. He was the highest goalscorer for consecutive years in all the toughest leagues in the world in which he participated in: England, Spain, Italy and Portugal
5. He holds the highest goalscoring record of any footballer
6. Himself and Messi hold the honour of being in the top flight of football and performing the highest in terms of goals for the longest number of years
7. He has the most goals in Champions league history
8. He has won the Ballon'dor ( world's best footballer award) countless times as well

And so many other honours I cannot type now due to malaria.

But at the end of the day like I said earlier, if Messi lifts this world cup then the debate is over. Messi will be the undisputed GOAT.
