To be honest, when Saudi beat Argentina in that first game, my belief that the team could go all the way was massively shaken based on the weak manner Argentina capitulated in that defeat.

But then after the Mexico game in which Messi gave the dream a flicker of hope, I started to think the Saudi loss might be a Dr Strange vs Thanos moment; to stoop first and then rise to conquer. The hardest way the only way.

Even Griezman went missing yesterday. Giroud also went missing. I watched that match yesterday..there was really nothing significant Dembele could have done to change the game before his sub. France's first shot on target came around the 70th minute or so.

Lol, this is the same exact feeling I felt iny viewing centre. The same scenario. That equalising 3-3 goal removed all the confidence I had sef.
My only hope was Emiliano Martinez but the confidence of Mbappe gingering his team was my fear.

The funny thing was that I wasn't really fazed when France eventually equalised in the 80th minute. Real fear enter after that 3-3. E come be like premonition.
