I don’t think it’s fair to say this considering she’s buying FOR HER CHILDREN. Christmas shoes and clothes are very important to children, I dare to say more important than food (as far as kids are concerned). Also, she may have some other means of getting food for the day and beyond.

All I see is a parent who’s making a sacrifice for the kids.
