This kind Nurse full everywhere. Poverty, ignorance, proximity of Good Medical Facilities are making them thrive. Same thing with the blooming Chemist/Pharmacy around you. 99% of these guys don't know nothing aside selling you fake stuff. Just pray you don't have an emergency. Na so Dem dey call one guy Doctor for my side, I had only one interaction with him and I told my wife that he is not a Doctor. Found out the guy was once worked as a Lab Attendant! In the first instance, she is t a nurse but a quack. Auxiliary nursing is not recognized by Nigerian law or the nursing council. I pity those patronizing them... It's a shame... She had injected the wrong site and damaged the sciatic nerve of her victim... Unfortunately, the public sees every lady wearing uniform or scrub as a nurse without making enquiry or trying to ascertain... Shame |

I blame the Nigerian medical doctors for this. They're the ones who fuel quackery in the healthcare system by not employing qualified professionals but instead, employ untrained people in the name of auxiliary whatever. Those quacks employed in the private hospitals end up getting emboldened to operate beyond limit. They're the ones who set up quack roadside hospitals and pharmacies where they send unsuspecting Nigerians to their early graves. I believe if government, through the regulatory agencies, can beam their searchlights to these private hospitals and met out stiffer penalties to those falling short of standards, it'll help immensely in curtailing the problem of quackery in our healthcare system. 1 Like 1 Share |
