obembet:But they’re always in competition with us, so we need to be letting them know ahead. They’re already calling Lagos a no man’s land, if care is not taken they’ll want to be governor. Being proactive doesn’t hurt. |

Bbeautiful write-up or history . I thought some lunatics and morons says Lagos is a no man's land. I thought some lunatics says they owned and developed it. There is no single area where there names are mentioned not to show us their impact or contribution to the development of Lagos. What a rich culture ? A very good upbringing and humble background if I may say. Great Omolabis. Not a generation of drugs, yahoo Yahoo and, chest beating everywhere they go like MTN. I'm not mentioning names o but in their usual character, they rush to attack you like wild hyenas without even reading the content of the article. Their home is burning, killing and maiming the innocent ones,. Yuletide is here nowhere to go and celebrate else you're marked as sabo. Embarking on a futile journey leading by a lunatic from a foreign land. Yet still at the same time fighting their neighbours. Highly confused set of people. |

Mandate2023:But have you travelled to South eastern states?? If you’ve not you have no right to condemn those states because lagos was a capital and was far developed before independence. Let’s try and be less tribalist and hateful |

Evilblakman2:We r talking about commissioning projects everyday u r talking about formal capital.......r the project being commissioned FG sponsored? Ur leaders r giving u lame excuses that lagos was a formal capital, is that why others are not commissioning anything....u think if the government of lagos is not thinking ahead with the population do u know hw lagos will look like today.......when capital was taken away from lagos do u know the over head bridge today has 3 times doubled what was existing then......do u even know the kind of resources that has been channelled into transportation, infrastructure, economy, investment, education etc |

Mandate2023:Yes that’s why I asked if you have traveled there and you didn’t see any commissioned project but you dodged the question You sit at home online and degrade another state you’ve never been too just because of tribalist sentiments Answer the question have you been to anambra? Besides the amount of people living in lagos more than anambra which makes them more developed, take a look at America a lot of diversity developes a place faster …its facts |

Venerable612:Try that first in Delta and river before lagos.. Lagos is delivering on projects but you don't care to know how much pdp and ibori are devouring rivers and akwa ibom and delta state |
| Re: Video Of The Soon To Be Completed J Randle Centre In Lagos by pquaver(m): 12:38pm On Dec 21, 2022 |
tollyboy5:Don't mind the fools.. That how 1 came under the cover of it will be nice for another party to take over lagos let them know how much is being looted.. He is concerned about lagos that is delivering projects. But 16years till date he does not care and want other party to take over bayelsa, delta, akwa ibom, rivers so that we can also know how much pdp and their cronies are dealing with the states. He does not care that not complex projects like is lagos are carried out in those states.. But he wants the working party and state to come to a halt just for him to see.. I have said it some people don't want the best for Nigeria and 90%of them are behind obi.. Ho and verify |

obembet:Indeed. Others may feel the need, good or bad, to compete with us but we no send them. For them it is "Eshin iwaju ni ti eyin n wo sare". For Yorubas, we are our own challengers secure in ourselves and our ability. All we have to do is find a way to live in Nigeria, with others, progressively and without 'one Nigeria' impeding and regressing us as is the case today. As an example, my focus remains on the fact we can quickly create an intelligence and science-based policing model that can reduce crime at least 50% overnight yet we must contend with the moribund, worthless and archaic NPF full of I'll-trained thugs anyone with money can buy and control. Same worthless force president after President fail to reform adequately yet reject the call for others to have State/regional policing!! I remember going to Ghana not too long ago to find young, smartly-dressed and well-spoken staff in charge at Kotoka International Airport. The equivalent of our MMIA. These young people were impressive and refreshing. They spoke impeccable English with men and women wearing smart blazers. The did not ask for bribes, perfumes or "wetin you bring for us". They simply assisted you satisfactorily and professionally. Apparently the President, Akuffo Addo, a pal of Tinubu ironically, decided to sack all the old and sloppy former staff to replace them with brilliant graduate who then present the first impression of Ghana to the world. Ghana has a near mono-culture of around 4 religiously moderate major ethnic group so they lack our feudal and ethno-religious nepotism and infighting. Welcome to a nation, unlike Nigeria, that can implemenf positive changes quickly and is not set up to be her own biggest enemy as Nigeria is. What I saw in Ghana will never happen in Nigeria, as presently constituted, where the absence of a mono-culture and merit-based system will put throwbacks in charge of progressive folks unless we host regional governance. If the Ghana President could not move as he did then thing will remain the same to Ghana's detriment. Yorubas should agitate for what is shown below. All of us. It is not seccession. Merely a call to allow direct stakeholders control the political, socio-economic and administrative processes of their land independently . The fact we are prevented from doing this is the greatest drawback of Yorubas in Nigeria today. We will never rise if our immense potential will not be allowed to define our lives, in our land, and deliver solutions for us.

pquaver:Not sure your analogy is correct. They have to deliver on projects in Lagos because the state has more informed voters. You won’t get a re-election if you don’t. I just think Lagos need fresh ideas. |

LILTJAY:You want the Eleyi that is owing November salaries without increasing the number of workers while growing IGR and loans, to commission projects? Will the workers who are owed November salaries chop the projects IF he commissions any? Can they use pictures of the projects as legal tender for payments since they are owed salaries and pensions with their relatives being jobless? Na how you reason the thing ![]() |

What is the meaning to you ? Abi the name sounds Ijaw, ibo, Nupe, Kanuri, or Isoko to you or what ? Continue to show your ignorance in the public as usual. The developer. |

seguno2:Shined Iyanmili, JK Randle is a Yoruba man. He is one of the returnee slaves back then. They usually have English name due to that reason. You have lot of them in Lagos island bearing English name. They are Saro. But why the thing come dey pain you? I know it hurts to see something like this because the sit at home in your landlocked terrorist infested region won’t allow such development. What am I even saying. Do you even have a culture to exhibit? |

Dsalvo:You're not Yoruba, you are suffering from colonial mentality... because if you were you'll know speaking e:nglish is not a sign of smartness and intelligence.. and you also described as it as "impeccable English" meanwhile you have never ever complimented your fellow Yorubas and Nigerians for speaking "impeccable Yoruba" and "impeccable Igbo" and "impeccable Hausa".. you have never ever described the indigenous languages as "impeccable" and that's a sign of colo-mentality. you're colo-mental.. Nigeria already has mono-culture and merit based system but your colonial mentality is preventing you from seeing it... In Nigeria, some regions speak one language and have one culture and that's mono-culture... there's nothing like a Nigerian culture.. because the word Nigerian is not referring to any Ethnic group or Ethnic nation... In summary, there is no ethnicity known as Nigerian.. |

seguno2:Wait, don’t be jealous. Yoruba culture is versatile and that is why we can have a center like this to showcase our beautiful culture. Don’t you just love the video? Ibo don’t have culture so it will be hard to showcase what is non existent. Abi you want them to have a sculpture of a kid hitting his father flat head or you want them to show warrant chiefs you call igwe in the images? |

LegendHero:He is not a Yoruba man... He is one of the people who the bri:tish brought from Sierra Leone and gave a Yoruba first name and they tagged him and a lot like him as returnee slaves.. If you read the post. you'll have seen the part below.. naptu2:why were other Yorubas not living on the Marina because they were against the Br:itish and the br:itish did not empower instead the br:istish chose to go to another country ( Sierra Leone and maybe Brazil ) and get other black people and give them Yoruba first names and tag them as Yoruba and empower them instead of empowering indigenous Yorubas.. and even in this same thread it says "ordinary Lagosians" didn't have their own parks.. naptu2:The good thing is the Dr R:andle had feelings for the indigenous Yorubas and sponsored and built infrastructure for the indigenes.. the good thing is he became Yorubanized and his generations also became Yorubanised. naptu2: |
