The popular singer Drake bet $1 million that Argentina would defeat France in the World Cup championship match on Sunday. He however lost the money notwithstanding the outcome of the game, because his wager did not take into consideration extra time.

It seemed as though he would win $2.75 million at first because Argentina was ahead by a score of 2-0 at the half.
