The reason is bad leadership. If not because Nigeria military has been submerged in pool of corruption, there's no reason for bubu to still remain in aso villa by now.

Tribalism and divided interest is a more important reason than corruption in Nigerian Army....that's why coup can never work there

Sadly, those in power have the war chest to rig elections. It's not that simple in Africa to let people's vote actually count.
