LegendHero:I knew from the very beginning that wike was not going to stay with PDP or support Atiku. Tinubu remains a master strategist; for sure it isn’t what you do, but all about how it is done. It wouldn’t have mattered if Wike had crossed over 2 or 4 months ago…The key here is the timing of Wike’s announcement to cross over to support Tinubu. Obviously Wike doesn’t have any respect for Atiku and his 30 yrs ambition to lead Nigeria. Wike also happens to be too smart to waste his time joining the Losers’ Party (LP). It isn’t personal, seasoned politicians tend to flow with a winner. Expect Wike to complete the cross over to APC process between the first and second week of January. |

Obidient4life2:Edo no be Lagos” landed you a governor who is commissioning streetlights and the Lagos you don’t want to be like is commissioning world-class rail infrastructure. At some point, Nigerians have to admit that godfatherism has been the most effective style of government in Nigeria |

adioolayi:Lets be factual for once. Lets assumed the G5 support Obi, 11 states from SS and SE are out with benue, and abuja, making 13. 37 out of 13 is 24 And then there is Atiku, Tinubu and kwakwanso to share the core north votes. How do u think they can win? |

Dbegining:You are right about Makinde. If you listen to his utterances n body language, he is leaving so much room for reconciliation. He is not getting too carried away by Wike's antics. The stakes are different for each member of the G5. For Makinde in particular, there are lots of grassroot politicians in PDP supporting Atiku and they are all fighting Makinde because he doesnt let them control him(good thing), if those ones team up with Folarin and APC for gubernatorial, forget the good works, it may be too much for him to hold on to. So he has to play it safe. Him declaring for ApC, how will he have the audacity to scold those aggrieved pdp members for antiparty activities when they also decide to work for Folarin in future. |

ryloy:This news will so much unsettle Obidients. When I criticized Obi wanting to make concession with Wike, the vitriol from Obidients was just so toxic on this platform. When I opined that Obi should use his newfound goodwill to campaign for all LP aspirants, I was told I am a neophyte in the game of politics. That politics is a game of give and take. When I opined that it won't be nice sacrificing the governorship and National Assembly aspirants of the LP in Rivers state, I was told by Obidients that their only interest is Obi. Any other aspirants under LP is on his own. The truth is without Wike, Obi will still win Rivers state. The margin may not be wide but he will still win. |

Tinubuwins2023e:Olodo. What do you kuku know? You have a president who never attended University and yet you sing his praises to the highest heavens. You have a Dangote, who is the richest man in Africa, yet professors and intellectuals queue to secure jobs in all his companies. If not that you know nothing, you'd realise that trade goes on between the states of the federation. All the states look up to Lagos, yet Lagos depends on all the states to supply food. You see say you no get sense? You call someone who was born into a wealthy home, grew up with wealth and achieved so much a failure? What can people say then about you? At your age, you be Mr. Nobody. No good education, no good background, complete NFA. I think you need you early morning beans and bread first, to help you reason well. |

seunmsg:You should be more worried that Atiku will focus more on the core North where APC is banking on mass illiteracy and religious sentiment to win block votes. Anything asides them supporting APC is a dead blow to APC . The major spoiler for APC is Atiku and the Redcap demon lol. Tinubu was not hoping to get much votes from the South the reason he ignored them during consultation and focused all his energy in the core North which has two powerful candidates contesting for the election .the future is indeed bleak for the bed wetting BAT according to the REDCAP demon of Kano state. |

Devil1Messenger:The most unfortunate thing is that all the current Igbo governors instead of tacitly supporting Obi, they are all doing everything to reduce Obi's numbers in the SE. All because they feel he can't win and they want to secure their personal future by supporting whoever they think will win, not whoever is good for the country. |

In the current political dispensation where the bvas machines rein supreme these governors can't really influence most voters in their states they are only powerful if they have the means to rig elections. |

Devil1Messenger:If you assert your permutations on how powerful the governors are, which before now, most LP supporters do not agree with, can we say APC will win all the state's they have a sitting Governor ![]() There are key political indices that will shape the 2023 elections: 1. States being govern by political parties (State Governors) 2. States where political parties have huge membership (what you call political structures) 3. The heavyweight politicians (what you call political gladiators...Senators, Honourables, ex-governors..e.t.c..they have their niche of voters they command no matter how little) 4. Waves of youth movements that are hell bent on wrestling power from the old Politicians. The political parties that manages 3/4 factors above will win the election. That's why I see more of PDP or APC as the winner of next election...nothing will change. |
