Hello nairalanders! . I trust you all are enjoying your holiday.
There's this story I want to share with you guys. I traveled to my village for xmas and I went to visit a friend, when I asked about his dad he told me he has gone to the hospital with his other brother.

He said a witch doctor has threatened to kill his father at the village meeting, since then the dad has been fallen ill all the time. And that the witch doctor has been killing people in the village and brag about it openly. I asked what has the village people done , he said nothing, every body fears this man .

I want you guys to advice my friend. Can the matter be reported to the police?? Thank you!

What exactly is wrong with your friend's dad? Was killed the other villagers? What did their individual autopsy reports say? Was it some sort of poisoning? Are there witnesses who can testify that the witch doctor visited the homes of the victims right before the illnesses/deaths?

That is the point.. none of that happened. The guy is just a witch doctor. He boast with it.. and the villagers fear him because of that

Then get your friend and his father a psychiatrist's appointments then so they can overcome their fears of the man and maybe stop blaming him for that not connected to him.

Yes, the man should report to the police and make a statement that the native doctor threatened to killl him. Tell the police that the native doctor had boasted that he had killed other villagers in the past. He will be made to sign an undertaking.

The man has to pray without ceasing, while avoiding sins totally.. he should join a good deliverance church. A word is enough for the wise.

I am not joking at all. If you have absolutely no evidence that a crime has been committed, what are you going to police to do? Spread rumors! Look, if the villages aren't interested in finding out exactly why they are supposedly dying as you claim, then what is best is to get them help to at least deal with the one identified problem which which fear. A psychiatrist can help greatly with that.

That is called Rhetoric and not threat, and you cannot arrest the man with police you know why?
Because there was no evidence that the witch doctor actually killed the said people that died on their own. The witch doctor is just claiming what he didn't do and what he can never do.

How do you know that he is a witch doctor in the first place?
Because you saw him masking his face with charcoal and chalk and tie cowries like those babalowos we watch in nollywood movies.

You too, tell your friends dad to go and rub charcoal and chalk on his face and tie cowries everywhere in the village whether people will not be scared of him too.

Reporting to the police will do little or nothing, your friend's dad need to come to Jesus and recieve him as his saviour and then he need to pray note it needs to be consistent with fasting also. The devil and his workers are very resilient and do not give up. He should not be afraid but fully trust in God and Jesus Christ.

You said your friend's father was in a hospital? Well, what is his diagnosis and what did the doctors days caused the illness? Drinking water? Environmental factors? What? You and your friend need to get down and do your own investigating to find out if there is a direct link between the man and the supposed witch doctor.
