In Nigeria I can buy 2 bikes at less than$1000 each, give them out to hired riders who their district association can vouch for. They deliver money to me everyday while making money everyday as well. I see a lot of them around. They eat well and drink almost every evening. Before a year runs out these hired riders can purchase their own bikes.

The very serious ones among them are building houses and giving their kids the kind of education they never got. The system has a very direct impact on local economies.

But like the South Africans are saying, their own society might be seriously different from the rest of subsaharan Africa.

Why don't admit the rather obvious fact that almost all of you of here are babies and I'm your daddy. I never make crazy arguments. I have twice your IQ, I am deeply read and from early age of 10yrs I have been a ferocious reader.I started reading Times and Economist in 1990.There is almost nothing you can teach me. You may disagree with me on many things due to your shallow knowledge but definitely I always thrive to make sound arguments backed by empirical evidence. The impact on motorcycle on Asian economies and now Africa is too obvious to be substantiated. The fact that in Kenya it has grown 400 times in 15 yrs is statement enough that they filing a huge gap.We have had people argue about mobile money too...now in Kenya crossing 300b dollars per year...3 times Kenya gdp..
..and just getting started. Mobile money and motorcycles can fix Africa financial and transportation problems..and have multiplier impact.They should be on top priority of any serious gov wishing to transform their people fortune.These kind of things eventually set the conditions a country need to leapfrog..Chinese started with everyone with bicycle..then everyone got a motorcycle..now everyone getting a car.We have to avoid South Africa and Latin America mess...where economy work for a few..and fails many..who eventually resort to crime and drugs..if not war's.. dragging the country down.Asians are avoiding that trap and moving unprecedented billions into prosperity.

You didn't teach me anything about motorcycle business. I just told you what I've experienced in Nigeria and that it is similar to your Kenyan experience. And it's the first time you are really making sense. That was actually an insult aimed at you.
