Tinubu doesn't need Seyi Makinde to win Oyo state (or any SE state). Makinde needs to be very careful, else he becomes the biggest loser. |

Oyo people knew it is Makinde to vote for as Governor ,the good work he is doing in the state is enough to win the second term .. All this noise is needless ..Folarin is not going to fly ..Makinde is the Governor come 2023 .. I say this from all feelers .. Even the workers know they can't afford to miss the Governor ,if they rejected him, they know they will be back to square one. |

PussyMiners:Teslim actually played himself He backed Vice President Yemi Osinbajo thinking the Cabal would help him, it was too late he realized Tinubu was winning The primary that got him the ticket was full of intimidation by delegates.. and Penkelemes was Jagaban's favorite but he didn't interfere |

Ayed44:That is where Seyi Makinde is behaving like a novice....I am sure Folarin is somewhere telling Tinubu this, and that is the truth......I fear PDP may hurt him.....he is already at loggerheads with lots of PDP bigwigs in the state, those ones will easily close ranks with Teslim just to hurt him...In Nigerian politics, the enemy of my enemy becomes my friend by default... Seyi is very good for the masses and the good people of the state BUT he is not playing the politics carefully. |

Lindseyrd:I laughed reading this. Thanks for putting the guy in his place. That rotation for a long timmmmme was hilarious ![]() Unfortunately for flat heads it's a reality. Even South South if they suck up to Yoruba who are liberal and fair will manage to get a slice of the cake. Only Yoruba can stand up to the North. The rest are either too weak/ cowardly or fragmented. |

tunapawizzy:APC will adopt him after the elections and win with a bigger margin. PDP can't expel him before the elections. Leave that one |

adioolayi:you have never been to Oyo state especially during ELECTION. Ibadan people do not worship someone twice. Nobody ever won twice in Oyo state aside Ajimobi. Ajimobi won his second term because of Buhari won the presidency and there was a win of APC that nearly sweep the whole country because people were tired of PDP and they thought Buhari is coming to rule like he does in military regime. Mr man I lived in Oyo state for more than 20 years, I even marry from Ibadan. Ask Ladoja and Akala they will tell more. |

christistruth01:Maybe you’ve forgotten so soon. If Makinde fails to support the presidential candidate under the party he is seeking a second term, he will definitely fail. A similar scenario was played in 2003 where all the AD governor’s expect Tinubu went ahead to support Obasanjo for his second term bid. They all forgot they are seeking a second term, they all lost except Tinubu. Makinde is loved by an average Oyo state indigene but his anti party would bury his political career. |

Makinde will win his reelection. Oyo Apc tendencies are not united. They're so factionalized. Their only focal point is Tinubu. After the presidential election they'll split again. I see Makinde winning smoothly. |

deji68:What makes Bola Ige the best Gov of Oyo State apart from follow, follow attitude of out people if I may ask? What Landmark achievements did he recorded if I may ask? Ifhe actually was,why did Afenifere didn't pick him as it's Presidential candidate in 1999 General Elections which made him to join Obj Govt which eventually led to his assassination? |
