Xmas is a pagan holiday, and last I checked, Muslims also take the day off on other pagan holidays — independence day, New Year day, etc.

Unless specifically stated by their Mohammed, i see no logical reason why a Muslim would celebrate New Years, an equally pagan holiday, and not Xmas.
