Obasanjo is supporting Obi simply because he knows Obi is the only candidate he can control. He is not doing it for the love of Nigerians or Nigeria, he is putting forward his interest.

Obasanjo and Atiku are not in good terms like they were when he supported him in 2019, and he knows he can't control Tinubu, he supports Obi because Obi will be his stooge. We don't want a president controlled by others.

Anyone that ever supported Atiku for president, don't want the best for Nigeria. Obasanjo is following his interest, presently he is closest to Obi.

Just clarification, so Nigerians know the intent of Obasanjo, he is not doing it out of love of Nigeria.

But same obj supported buhari and endorsed him in 2015. Was buhari his stooge? Jonathan was never his stooge too remember? I don't think Obi would differ

Jonathan is his boy, same interest. Presently he is closest to Obi among the three, everyone is pitching their tents.

Last election, Atiku was a better candidate than buhari and moreover Peter Obi was his vice presidential candidate.

I don't think so, anyone that has interest of this country at heart will support Obi's candidacy over others. No nation can progress without equity, peace and unity. equity demands it goes to southeast since southwest has ruled for two terms and North just had their turn remaining only Southeast in the south.every well meaning Nigerians are bound to support Obi since he is from Southeast and has the competency. Obasanjo just did the right thing that is expected of elder state man.
