rvp2018:Ibadan never took part until 2009 when they came to Kenya and won it on Kenyan soil with your students left holding the empty bag. 720 to 610 is a big margin. The following year Ibadan relaxed and didn't do well. After that the show didn't go on. If it had continued where would you have been? Besides it was more or less a show for Kenyans. It was hosted in Kenya and the moderator throughout the years was a Kenyan. ![]() |

rvp2018:so this is all you could send in the last 18years? That will be like a single year admission from Ghana. I'm more interested in the courses they studied If it was to go and do Athletic, dance and music like all these Kenyans you listed, like Ghana will not waste time and money on those schools ![]() The US embassy issued 7,000 student visas to Ghanaians in 2022 compare to 4916 in 2021.. 1,150 were for ivy league schools in 2022 |

rvp2018:The basis is what I'm going to destroy you with next. ![]() Nigeria too is quite wanting in terms of science education when put on the international stage but Kenya is virtually and literally non-existent. Let me give you records from the International Mathematics Olympiad, the oldest of the science olympiads... Nigeria 5 bronze medals..(poor) 16 honourable Mentions Kenya 0 bronze medal ( shameful) 0 honourable Mentions

rvp2018:Is it false? For example there's a reason why FIFA would never let a French referee officiate a match between France and Germany. And for the same reason the international science olympiads are hosted by a different country each year.In spite of that Ibadan still beat you along with your home advantage and your countryman moderator. All of una alupo. ![]() |

rvp2018:You are a scumbag , dishonesty is affecting you. Where have I mentioned that the girl is undergoing an undergraduate medicine program in USA. I only mentioned that she was admitted to run premedic program, the fastest possible way of gaining full admission into medicine program in the usa. She actually don't need an undergraduate related degree like biological sciences or chemistry as you are insinuating absurdly. |

You're still lying. Pre-med in US can only happen after she get a bachelors. All she has done is pre-foundation - communication 101 - to improve her Ghana horrible writting skills - before she begin her bachelors. If she want to do medicine - she will start with degree in biology or chemistry. vaxx: |

Kenya use to do 7,000 kids per annum in 2002 - that 20yrs ago - but we have built 87 universities - and we only send to IVY league. Number of Kenyan students in the US declines sharply over a decade Trump administration said to have declined to approve visa applications. In Summary • From an all-time high of about 7,000 Kenyan students in 2002, the number now stood at 3,710 students in 2020. • Nigeria tops in the African continent with a total of 13,762 students enrolled in US colleges and universities. https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2021-07-16-number-of-kenyan-students-in-the-us-declines-sharply-over-a-decade/ Now madcow - please show a single evidence that you have send 1,150 ivy league kids in the USA. China and India would kill for such numbers. Just30: |

rvp2018:what are you saying ? Times higher education ( the leading university ranking institution) ranks UCC ( Ghana) ahead of any kenya unis. When we run per head differences, Ghana has more universities than kenya ( when we include private institution at tertiary level |

Small country shenagians. I am sure we will see that random Times Higher education story for next 10yrs. The Top 10 ranking in Africa amongst many rankings - doesnt include any in Ghana. Nairobi sits normally at no 9 - in Africa - with 5 solids south african universities, Cairo, Makerere and such. vaxx: |

First who participate? It appears to be Kenya Form 4 kids versus Form six kids in Nigeria and Ghana. Kenya do 4yr degree program because 1st year is advanced secondary curriculum in our 8-4-4 system. Most of you are stuck in British system. This why you need proper assessment like TIMSS, PISA, SACMEQ - not any crap you collect online then use it to compare countries. Obaaderemi2: |

Mkenya2019:International Mathematics Olympiad is crap? ![]() Don't be an idiot. Those who qualified are those who represented the countries. If your form six kids do not qualify it proves what we've always said here. Kenyans are poor in education especially science. ![]() |
| Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Mkenya2019: 11:19am On Jan 02, 2023 |
We dont have form six kids. We dont do senior high school. If you're interested in real comparison - try something like TIMSS IEA’s TIMSS 2019 is the seventh assessment cycle of TIMSS, the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study. TIMSS 2019 was conducted at the fourth and eighth grades in 64 countries and 8 benchmarking systems. Inaugurated in 1995, TIMSS has been conducted every four years since, providing 24 years of trends in mathematics and science achievement. Obaaderemi2: |

Mkenya2019: ![]() As usual, dishonesty in argument. Kenyans are just not rich enough to send their kids to prestigious unis to pursue top level programs and participate in global R & D. Ghana comes third on the continent with the most students offered offered entry into the US to pursue their education. The fact that Kenyan kids to have the brains to hack it doesn't mean everyone doesn't. China and India have far more than that |

Mkenya2019:You be mumu, medicine program in the usa at graduate level doesn't necessarily need to be related with the undergraduate program. Infact a business administration graduate can apply. But once you are admitted to run pre medic program , you have chosen a shorter part . Listen for the last time, she was admitted to run pre medic program to qualify for her to get a direct admission into usa medicine degree program, assumption is incorrect. She is in pre-med program, deemed a prestigious pathway for students definitive about medicine. Now . she is assured of transitioning directly into Harvard medical school. Thru pre-med programs, She will be given opportunities to take classes and research at the medical school. |

She wasn't exempted from learning communication 101 and introduction to calculus 101 but somehow will be exempted to study pre-med. Medicine degree in the US is not a joke. 1.Complete an undergraduate education: Unlike Uk medicine study, USA medical studies require completion of four years of undergraduate study. The study includes a pre-medical school course and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in in a relevant subject. For example, a degree in Biology, Chemistry or Neuroscienceز 2. Pass the MCAT examination: MCAT is a standardized and multiple-choice exam for students assessing their likelihood of success in their program. In order to start your medical career in the US, you must register with the Medical College Admission for the MCAT test. Common subjects in this exam are chemistry, biological studies, physics, and human genetics. 3. Apply to medical school: Students can apply to US medical school during the summer after their junior year in college. You can take a year off before applying if you want. Most medical schools in the US use the application processing service (AMCAS) of the American Medical Colleges. International students choose their preferred medical schools and submit a single application to AMCAS, which distributes it to each institution. 4. Complete training at medical school: The medical school in the US includes classroom-based instruction in the sciences and clinical rotations. It is a full-time study that takes 4 years duration besides the bachelor’s degree. 5. Pass parts I & II of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (UNMLE): vaxx: |
