The Ondo state campaign has been postponed until further notice due to the communal crisis happening in the city & in respect of those that lost their lives and properties.

According to reports from multiple sources, some areas in the South West state have been under attack by suspected herdsmen and the Ondo state government has placed curfew in these areas.

I'm from Akure and I can tell you over 70% of people in Akure will vote LP. Jettison the idea that crowds at rallies are a rubber stamp to any candidate.
Even on Aketi's Facebook page (the Governor), a lot of indigenes disagree with him on his support to the APC candidate

Akeredolu enforces a 24-hour curfew in the Ondo neighborhood

A 24-hour curfew has been imposed in the historic town of Ikare-Akoko, which serves as the seat of the state's Aluko Northeast local government area, according to Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

The choice was made at a state security meeting in Akure, the state capital, which was presided over by the governor.

There will be no movement or unapproved activity till further notice, according to a statement by the governor's chief press secretary, Richard Olatunde.

The government intervened and met with the two rulers of the town, the Olukare of Ikare Oba Akadiri Momoh and the Owa Ale of Iyometa - Ikare, Oba Adeleke-Adegbite Adedoyin, to discuss how to control their followers, but a violent clash still broke out in the historic town, the statement claims.

However, security authorities have been ordered to enforce tight compliance while the cause of the altercation is still being investigated.

There have been reports of several buildings and vehicles being set on fire and looted during the past two days.

Due to the closure of the banks and markets, many drivers kept their cars off the road out of fear of attacks.

A tinubu supporter made a post here on front page that the area is now safest in Nigeria, that Amotekun are in every 2 miles and gave credit for that to APC and Tinubu…imagine if you take these people seriously and travel to Ondo and fall into the hands of killer herdsmen…smh

Even though it's only one town, curfew was pronounced on that particular town which will prohibit the movement of people.

Both Jonathan and Buhari have been blamed in the past for participating in rallies when Nigerians were facing attacks.
